| excessivelyperky chapter 16 . 2/9/2019 Well, there was always the DADA teacher who taught painting-him and his lovely curved mustachios and his beautiful wife Galina...nobody died that year, and people counted it a plus. True, the poor man had to leave when his watch melted on him, but he got over it and was able to paint again when he returned to the Muggle world. Ahem. But of course Severus has to hug the cold to himself. It's the only way he'll survive when he goes back home every summer. |

At some level, the other Marauders understand this (plus the house elves who take Sev his food and drink are probably cluing them in that he's all right, just whacked out). Nice of the Marauders, especially James, to take up the slack, though. |
