Guest chapter 12 . 12/26/2017 Love the story hope you get over the writers block |
brennakai chapter 12 . 12/9/2017 Overall it is a very interesting story. Defiantly a darker story line them most. There are a lot of questions the story has not yet covered. As the last "Guest" convened on a few. There were also points i liked. The instructors take on being forced to put her son thru the trials. Her take on questioning why Kyoko was also entered at a young age. Obviously the next chapter is either from her mother's point on why her daughter's are going thru this... or maybe her mothers thoughts on how her own trials made her stronger & will make the girls strong her at well? Or some clue as to what group they originally suspected Ren to be from... Or perhaps the next chapter is lil Kyoko's first experience of true tragedy... one or both of her sisters being lost... one likely in front of her eyes though the culprit doesn't know she is there... due to her small size... Yet thru so be action of her sister signals het too stay quiet & safe... Thank you for the story |
Angel Otaku-San chapter 11 . 6/9/2017 The net chapter could go something like this. Kyoko was running to the waterfall when she hears foot steps running towards her, she hides in a bush and sees one of the twins kill another boy. She waits five minutes after he leaves and then continues to run to the waterfall with more speed. Two days past and there is no sign of her eldest sister (her second eldest sister arrived just before sunset). The go fetch fish on the morning of the fourth day and find their oldest sister dead by the river bank. Maybe you can continue to think of more. |

Guest chapter 10 . 11/7/2016 Wow. This is morbidly addictive. Morbid for the dark underlying theme. Addictive cuz you've written this well. I never imagined a hunger games type of scenario for SB. Still not sure if that works actually - how could the bodies stay undetected? or the tests? Anyway, I love how Kyoko quickly accepted Ren's confession and feelings and we don't have to deal with a running away panicked Kyoko. Though how on earth are they going to survive...and with a little pup at that? I liked the wolf cub, and the little fluff with the cute drugged Ren... Ren's secrets/past are nothing compared to Kyoko's! lol Honestly, I passed this story over before after reading that Kyoko was not human. I'm still not sold on the idea (don't like it and can't see how that works in the story) but I guess you made her a youkai. At first I thought it was like the youkai in Inuyasha world where they're not otherworldly but more like different species living on earth just with special abilities/powers but you chose them to be like demons, actual otherwordly beings... And even kamis like inugami (minor "god" in Japan). In which case I'd imagine they have superhuman strength and abilities...and can't "die" cuz they're not of this world. After all, once you bring in otherworldy demons/kami gods, isn't it a let down/unbelievable to see them essentially acting like humans? I can't see how otherwordly demons - living in shadows - are killing each other off to get best small group of killers so they can go around killing key humans to control the world. Sorry but that part about what Kyoko is, how they live, and the reasoning for the killing spree doesn't make sense for me. If you wanted the aim of the games to be so they get the best assassins, I think it would've been better to keep them as humans, perhaps ninjas/shadow assassins - and it fits with the aim of the game to get elite assassins. Still don't get how no one knows about the bodies or how the bodies have been left to rot for 8 or 16 yrs undiscovered. I've been focused on RenKyoko situation - their initial interaction and subsequent survival - so been able to push these demon/game purpose back for a bit but it won't carry it far cuz I'm still unconvinced. There's also a couple of places where I was a bit confused. Ren confesses. Kyoko faints. Ren shouts her name (that's fine) but then he screams to her "WHY?" He's yelling to the girl why she fainted? Also, why did Kyoko have to be kidnapped by the twin contestants? It sounds like they have no choice and go along with the game so wouldn't Kyoko have also gone anyway? They predict which contestants will come willingingly and which won't and send the perceived willing contestants to go kidnap the suspected unwilling ones? If Kyoko was unwilling, and she knew this was coming up on her 18th bday, she wouldn't be staying around...and in plain sight no less as an actress right? FYI if you're interested in improving, there's a lot of spelling errors so you may wish to use the spellcheck function on a word processor. While not perfect, they do catch a lot of basic spelling errors. Despite the holes, you drew up the story in an interesting manner and was able to carry the suspense through the story. I'm curious to see how this story develops (though I really don't want to see Kyoko/Ren kill...lol). Congrats on your first FF and thanks for sharing. |
