Perhaps you haven't realized this yet, but "common sense" isn't. Sense is not common at all. The majority of human beings, in my experience, are foolish and stupid a large part of the time. That explains not only why a forty year old woman wrote the Twilight series, but why so many others spent money to read it and watch it. One only has to look at the current response to the Covid 19 virus to see just how foolish people are.
