Gosh, another of your stories that's just blown me away! I wish you'd write more on this, though. It would be interesting to see more interactions between Tom and Harry, whether Tom sees him again, Harry's thoughts on Tom being able to see him, and what happened for Harry to become Death. Amazing and original idea, though!

I just thought of something, what happens with all the souls of everyone who has ever existed? My thoughts had drifted to imagining Death bringing little Johnny's parents to greet/escort him and help him transition between the two states (all the while Tom watched and Harry did this to show Tom that Dearh wasn't to be feared but also life had benefits of it's own so that one need not long for Death to come.) Then I remembered hearing a religious person say how reincarnating until on reaches moksha was exhausting and Christian's should be glad they only have to die once to get to Heaven.

My thought is: striving for something is what makes life worth living, I've had the easy (a.k.a. lazy) life for my entire existence so to me sitting around doing nothing for eternity sounds unbearably dull and the only reason one could enjoy it is if they were high for all eternity on their drug of choice, i.e. high on God.

I'm sure eternal rest sounds good to those who have worked so hard for so long but I prefer to imagine that there is a choice to be reincarnated when a soul gets bored of all that Rest and wants to experience how changed the world has become since the its last life.

...Otherwise there is an abundance of souls somewhere that a truly Dark wizard, one who prides himself on going beyond the limits of magic, could seek to access to extend his life (maybe seek the souls of 7 acclaimed powerful magical beings/ Wixen to bind with his 7 horcrux pieces to ensure each fragment is not just an anchor... ah. Tom doesn't share his position of power. The (cowardly, spineless) fool. (Though perhaps I've watched a few too many Magical Girl shows where convergence of their powers leads to them accessing the most powerful of their magics.) Other wise I would be trying to subtly ask if you would consider writing a Necromancer!Tom or Necromancer!Voldemort story as I figure you would be brilliantly horrifying with it. (Especially if it took place in an alternate universe after Harry became MoD (your specialty?) and had to eventually face off against Necromancer!Tom.

Entirely up to you of course, you're still on my favourites list so I hopefully will be able to follow your work for years to come.
