| Sinister-hime chapter 1 . 9/1/2019 I adored this- especially Luna's dialogue and way of thinking; you've captured her brilliantly. Draco's torment is so eloquently explained, especially the part in the beginning where he compared himself to someone of an equal status as a "mudblood": seeing no matter how much his mother might boost his self-esteem, she still didn't truly believe in him (ie. asking Severus to carry out the deed in his place should he falter at any moment). I love that analogy, because I never really thought about it that way but also I assume it must be true in a way; muggleborns are constantly encouraged to do well in their new magical surroundings, but they might not ever be as completely trusted to know about certain things as genuine wizards do, that have grown up in the magical community. This was such a wonderfully put together one shot, especially considering it's length. Not many people are able to tie in a story so well on its own with a couple of sentences, a couple of pages. I love it- the Druna is just a bonus, well done :) |
