This was bloody brilliant. It made me cry,especially the last two letters. And precious few fanfictions have ever made me is only the third fanfiction and I have read over a 100 of them. I LOVED this.

Aww, what a sweet little story. I now feel sympathetic for poor Severus, how he imagines Lily as two potential lovers only for it to crumble away before his very eyes when Lily falls in love with and marries James. I can picture him about to snap at the revelation through reading the last few of her letters. You've captured Severus's and Lily's emotions perfectly and your story was wonderfully written as always.

This is beautiful,
If only this had truly happened, I actually could have had some peace with Snape's death.
But unfortunately it didn't, and he died not knowing if Lily ever thought about him when she lived.
Therefore I always felt that Severus thoroughly wasted his feelings on Lily, because she couldn't even spare a thought on him, her former best friend.

That is why I think their so called friendship was toxic and completely one-sided as well.

There are many reasons that I could never reconcile the thought of Lily Potter being the only one good thing about Severus. Canon-wise, she was a good mother, but Lily was not a good friend, most especially not a loyal one.

Pieces like this however, allow me to love and support Snily 100%. If Lily Evans was like this in canon, it eases my heartache to know that she at least became worthy of Severus Snape's love. Indeed, perhaps they weren't meant to be together in this life time but they know for certain that they belong to one another in some form or another.

I am struggling to describe how much emotion I am feeling right now from this story.
