U definitely have a point there... she really did try everything 2 assimilate herself, absolutely everything to fit in, except expose herself and her vulnerability 2 them, and she wasn't allowed to, because she was Trained. It's weird, but that always seems 2 b the way with People. They're never satisfied until u lower urself 2 becoming pathetic and pleading 4 their help, proclaiming urself 2 b Beneath them, and only they can pull u back up because they're so very important and ur so very insignificant and small and vulnerable. If u try 2 spare urself even the smallest of dignities then it can't work either, u have 2 press urself 2 the ground and pray to them that they'll come and be ur salvation. And even then can u ever fully recover from it, ever escape the label of the damsel trying 2 prove urself? Ugh. Of course tess could never do that, and of course they could never completely accept her, for precisely the same reason that no one can remember the name of the blonde charlie's angel who replaced farrah faucett. Were it with any other person, it probably couldn't have wroked either. Not even with Max.
