So, I have made it. I have finished what has been written so far of Light and Shadow. As upsetting as it has been to see what Link and Zelda have gone through so far in their past lives, I was not prepared for this and it is very upsetting to see how far Link has fallen to the darkness. I really cannot say anything that has not already been said in my previous reviews. This is very well written and beings out a lot of emotions. The author has poured her heart into this entire epic. Which is why it is with a little sadness that I see Light and Shadow remains unfinished and has not been updated for some time, when its conclusion is so near or so it seems. I eagerly look forward to reading that conclusion one day, hopefully sooner rather than later now that Breath of the Wild has been released. Speaking of which, my dear author, would you possibly intend to make this trilogy into a four part epic, with Breath of the Wild confirmed to be in the same timeline as the Trilogy? I know this may well be a long way off if it were to written at all but I would be very excited to see what you would do with this new incarnation of Princess Zelda, my favorite incarnation so far. Anyway, I had a blast reading the Bound Destinies Trilogy and I highly recommend the whole thing, all of it, to anyone interested in reading a good long Legend of Zelda fan fiction. Take your time with it. Enjoy it as I did. MiniJen, thank you so much for dedicating years to this epic work. I really enjoyed every word. Well, I have made it. I have finished what has been written so far of Light and Shadow. I enjoyed reading it just as much as I am sure the author enjoyed writing it. As with the first two parts of the Bound Destinies Trilogy, it was well written and the story was interesting. I am actually glad to see that the story itself, while similar to the previous two parts, was able to avoid being repetitive.

I have to focus on two characters in this story. Link is an idiot. I get he is heartbroken and he is being manipulated but to betray everything he believed and once held dear. To destroy the very town he seemed to love so much. It is unbelievable. What about Telma and the Resistance? For all we know, they are dead and Link killed them. I doubt he could live with himself if that occurred. How will Link be able to live this down after he is eventually redeemed (I hope!)? I have serious doubts he could live with himself after this. The guilt alone will eat him from the inside out. I pity him but at the same time, he deserves a solid punch to the stomach. Zelda should certainly give him that tough talking to, but she cannot abandon him, no matter his crimes. I fear it really would destroy him if she did.

As for Verona, she is a total you-know-what but at the same time, I really do pity her, more than I pity Link actually. She was betrayed in the worst way possible and she had no one to comfort her in her grief and heartbreak. But to then do the same thing to another... I feel, deep down, she is better than what she has become, consumed by her desire for revenge. She was a good person before and that good person is still in there, somewhere. Midna has to apologize to her. Maybe that can be a good start. I would certainly love to see Verona's reaction to that. Anyway, moving on.

Please take the time to read this, as well as the whole Bound Destinies Trilogy. I could not recommend it enough. I literally struggled to put my phone down the entire time I was reading these stories.

Unfortunately, Light and Shadow remains unfinished and has not been updated in some time. The author has indicated that it is on hiatus. Of course, it is up to the author when to proceed but I would implore the author in this way. Unless I am mistaken, the conclusion of this third part seems to be near. Maybe now that Breathe of the Wild has been released, you would consider taking up this story again, if only this particular one, to finish it.

Which leads me to my next question. Now that Breath of the Wild is confirmed to be part of the Child Timeline, occurring after Twilight Princess, would it be possible, MiniJen, that there could one day be a fourth part to Bound Destinies? This latest incarnation of Zelda is the best yet, in my opinion, and I would love to see what you could with both Link and Zelda from BotW.

There isn't much more I can say that I haven't already said in previous reviews but I will say this. MiniJen, thank you so much for taking the time to writing these stories. I had a blast reading them and I am really looking forward to seeing more from you in the future. I will, of course, check out your other stories in the meantime. Maith thú!

words cannot describe the soul-wrenching agony i feel right now. link's struggle's just resonating with me so strongly; i know what it feels like to be lost, to be confused, to not know yourself, to fear yourself, to not know what it is you want, to turn to your anger as a defense against any and all pain, to feel that relentless, incessant, almost clawing at your soul every time you swallow words that you burn to say, that sound right, that are honest and true and holy in favor of spiteful, vengeful, biting ones. i know how link feels, and while i would never willingly go as far as he has, i empathize with him, so deeply and utterly that i have been crying for the past ten chapters, harder since the trouble began. and it pains me to see this end on such a sad, but uplifting note, with farore coming to comfort him, to allow him brief salvation from the confusion and agony and pain he feels; that scene with farore broke me, but it gave me hope too. that link will see the light. that he will come to know himself again. that he will know the darkness is there, but no longer fear it. that he will accept that even in the deepest darkness, there is light and beauty to be found. that he will learn to love himself once more. that he isn't a monster. that even if he feels he's lost everyone else, the heavens shall heed you, that there is someone there that isn't seeking to manipulate and destroy him, that someone does love him as much as he needs to be. farore is there, the hero's shade is there as well. he isn't alone. and i hope i get to see him realize that, though with that said, as a fellow college student, i know how busy semesters can be. good luck in your studies, and thank you, for allowing me to have this moment of much needed catharsis.

I love this fic, I hope you update soon! I have a bunch of Zelda fics bookmarked, and this one Strength of Courage are the only two that have updated in the last 4 months lol. If u haven't read it, I recommend it, it's a TP setting, basically a novelization of it.

Heh, I like what you're doing with this fic, and I like how human you've portrayed the characters. Don't let that Jarvis R. Yeriel kid tell you how to write your fic or backhandedly bash your ships (seriously, if you dislike Zelink, mate, why are you here even? And your comments about Link and Zelda; really?), and keep up with the good work!

Awesome to see another great chapter! Hopefully there will be a big showdown at the end of this! I'm waiting to see Midna's awesome powers in the chapter after next! It would be awesome if Zelda met up with the Resistance, you know, Telma and the others since they got to see Zelda and Link's romance towards the beginning. Hopefully she'll have some help on her side! Staying tuned! :)
