Omg Raph is a feminist. This is so awesome. In so many story's he's the badass who's overly checking out the girl's boobs and ass so this is so refreshing. Brilliant!

Love it. Love that April trusted him enough to share that, and love how Raph volunteered to talk to Vern for her, and how outraged he was on her behalf. Will read the rest of your treasures tomorrow. Because that's just what these stories are: treasures for those of us who have the audacity to wonder at a human/ninja turtle relationship. Very well-done.

Such a wonderful story! Raph is probably my all time favorite turtle and I love how you cpatured him in this story. I love how April is drawn to him and how she can understand them in her own way and how the trutles really have become her family and her friends. I am so happy to see someone doing such an awesome job creating little moments that will never be really explored on the big screen. Thank you!

Okay, you know what sucks? I made the same assumption April did and got rankled. 'Cause they grew up in an-all male household full of machismo and on human media. And it's really the kind of crap we encounter all the time as women. Of course Raph's logic is a lot more practical...this stuff is dangerous to anyone who doesn't have experience. So when he gives her his sai at the end and says he believes in her, I almost melted into a puddle. Simple, but powerful gesture from him. Those are part of him, part of his identity and his most prized possessions. The trust implied there is amazing.

I'll admit that I never gave much thought to Raph and April as a couple. I don't know why, but it never occurred to me. Now, because of your wonderfully written stories, they're all I can think about. Sometimes you make me want Leo and April, but then I read something like this and I'm back to these two. Congratulations on adding another Raphril fangirl to the mix! Keep up the great work!

This captures April's trials and tribulations as a woman in the workplace perfectly; no wonder she's prickly. I always thought Raphael and April, in every 'verse, are two characters with a great deal in common. But are hot-tempered, both are doggedly loyal to those they love, both are stubborn and headstrong. And both are, in each their own way, angry outcasts: Raphael for obvious reasons, and April because she's an uncommonly beautiful woman in, as seen in this and other 'verses, male-dominated professions, always struggling against her colleagues to be taken seriously. For April and Raphael to feel a special bond, a deep attraction and kinship, has always made a great deal more sense to me than any other pairing.
And yet again, you portray it perfectly. Raphael's trusting her to handle his sai (not a euphemism, in this case) is the greatest act of faith he could've shown her. Simply beautiful moment.
Also, I sort of like movie!Vernon, but I still want to see Raphael go all overprotective and scare the poo out of him one good time. ;)

I feel so bad for April... I know she's strong. Always strong and brave. It's sad that the only one in her life believed in her is her father... Though I always wondered and hope in the second movie she will be trained as a kunoichi... Maybe Megan Fox will practice martial arts. Who knows.

And the one always hitting on her is Vernon right? I mean come on. He's annoying (a little) but still a good guy... He should get the message that April doesn't like him in that way! But a friend... Though everything is gonna suck when Casey Jones comes in the 2nd movie... Damn.

So Raph is gonna teach her or what? That will be awesome!
