This was just lovely. I love the idea of Abner and Helga seeking each other's companionship because of missing Arnold's presence in their life. I think just having Abner, even though he's just a pet, helped Helga deal with Arnold gone in a healthy and mature way.

You should write another story about Arnold's visit.

The last two sentences were a little hard to understand but I got the gist of it and I thought the story was great. I love long one shots and I thought he concept was nice, great job.

Ah yes, I remember that picture...and kudos to you for drawing inspiration from it. This oneshot turned out to be longer than I expected so I'm impressed with the character development you managed to incorporate here.

This is really good. I like how Helga has matured and mellowed out. I guess since Helga broke into the boarding house. More times than anyone could count. Abner became very comfortable around her. Since Arnold no longer lived there. Please update when you can. If there is more.
