Well. That was intense.
It would be really, really great to see another chapter. :) You've done a very good job keeping the story going in each scene and time, and especially in creating an antagonist of this level. It's fascinating.

I've got to say, the whole burning of the flag thing is in bad taste. Yes, the Fire Nation did terrible things. Yes, it's good that they're no longer trying to take over the world. But the whole thing has this feeling of rubbing in the Fire Nation's defeat by making them burn their old flag.

In fact, I don't really see how a tradition like that would even start in the first place. Burning a flag is a very serious action, as it's essentially an insult to everything that flag stands for. If this tradition had started just after the Fire Nation's defeat, it would have been political suicide, and might have even started the war up again. And by the time things had cooled off to where they could have gotten away with it, I doubt there would have still been enough people with that level of hatred for the tradition to start.

In short, the flag burning ceremony completely shattered my suspension of disbelief due to me overthinking it.
