True Sakura really is else had clan training since pre-academy with bloodlines/special clan techniques n fighing styles. Natuto's had the stamina n the chakra . Little clan less Sakura had nothing but she persevered through the ordeal and rocked the world.

Well that was interesting, I love Shikamaru as a character, he has such an awesome way of looking at things. I really enjoyed how this story went, especially with Naruto being the one that didn't surprise him simply because he knew where Naruto was going and accepted the fact that expecting (and occasionally even understanding) the path was impossible. Anyways, thanks for the story and good luck with whatever you do next.

Only one mistake that many authors does. Sakura's parents, Kizashi and Mebuki Haruno are both ninja, Kizashi even a confirmed junin. Even though it's not stated in manga, it's said in anime, movie and databook.

and if you want to continue this well there is only one way to go, the other side of the coin
tell something that they were surprised to see from shikamaru
an example is:
hinata- watching him training to the point were he was exhaust
ino- doing something romantic for a girl
sakura- he being chivalrous (is that right?)
shino- choosing a troublesome girl or something
sasuke- he is a difficult one since I dont think he knows shikamaru exist but something about being a worthy opponent
naruto- Shikamaru being the one who inspires him
