Chronic Guardian chapter 1 . 8/24/2014 For how short this is, I'm impressed with the range of emotion you develop and portray. We go from an innocent, almost niave hopefullness to fearful confusion, to hard determination, to peace in a relatively short amount of time, but not so shortly as to ever feel rushed. You, my friend, have mastered the art of pithiness. Saya's self image and dislike for others getting hurt by her affairs is interesting. She's full of noble intent, but she's also fully aware of her darkerside and all the trouble that surrounds her. She is hope, but also despair. The journey through the maze of life deciding which one she ultimately is is frightening but heartening and really rallies the reader to her cause. The ending is a full turnabout from where it looked to be going, but it was fantastically and believably played. I'd say you navigated these twists with the expert motions of a seasoned maze-maker. Well done, L. We shall look forward to your final contribution. Best Regards, -CG |
Hyoxjnn chapter 1 . 8/23/2014 Ooh, that was... An unexpected ending; I like :D A mansion is something I could picture getting lost in... And the non-literal 'maze navigation' was something that I really wanted to keep reading. The turnaround at the end was kind of like an anti-hope spot, but then it's like... "Everything's going to be okay." :') Good luck with your next work :D |
