Katherine is amazing and Stefan is a sweetheart. He is right that Bonnie said facts, but she doesn't know the whole story. I loved Elena's reaction to Bonnie at the restaurant. The whole scene at the restaurant was intense and vivid. Poor Stefan, his selflessness and will to do the right thing will always get him into trouble!

Bonnie should have never come, period. She doesn't belong in Elena's life at this moment.

I loved Stefan in this chapter! I will always love him in this story, and as a character in general, but in this chapter I got to see different aspects of his personality, and of his relationships with the other characters. I loved that he was a little irritated in the beginning that Elena has to babysit Katherine (and it was surprising for me to see that attitude, after how devastated he was about her illness); then, he was so sweet when he carefully approached Elena about the car she will need when starting school; it was also very interesting to see (and I have noticed that for a while) that an aspect of his unique relationship with Katherine is the fact that he isn't either intimidated, nor annoyed with her behaviour - he got used to her so well that he sometimes allows himself to not even pay attention to her; and he knows the relationship between Damon and Katherine very well, it seems (like the fact that Damon will be mad for 5 seconds at Katherine, and then he will forget about it). So many facets to his character, and I love to see that.

It was nice to see Elena not being intimidated by Katherine:) And Katherine summed up Elena's personality very nicely when she said that Elena is kind and a nurturer, just what Stefan needs.
I think that Elena and Stefan have lots in common, but also differences, and those differences make them compliment each other very well - Elena is more hesitant and takes a lot of time to decide on things, and sometimes Stefan's quick thinking is just what she needs to make that decision; just like Stefan needs Elena's patience and gentle urge to express his thoughts and emotions. They make such a lovely couple, and your writing is one prominent reason for that:)

I love how both Stefan and Elena are able to show so much empathy toward each other, it's like one can feel the other's pain. It was lovely to see each of them opening up about their childhoods. And it was lovely to hear Elena saying that now she has a family in Stefan, Damon and Katherine, and also telling Stefan she would like to wear the wedding ring again:) And Katherine being worried about her shoes, that was hilarious (and sweet).

Poor Elena! Being in the same car with her parents at the moment of the accident must have been a really traumatic experience for her. This chapter was so emotional! I absolutely loved the short conversation between Katherine and Stefan (especially when Stefan told her that she has other 3 reasons to live for, and all 3 of them were standing in the room with her), and between Katherine and Elena (especially when Katherine told her that life is too short to spend it away from the people you love). Katherine is indeed a hero:)

It is sad to see Stefan and Elena in such a state. I can understand both of them: Stefan's worst fear - that of losing Elena, and Elena's pain and lack of trust in Stefan. They are still hurt and the wounds haven't healed yet. I only hope that Elena leaving him temporarily would not be a trigger for Stefan to start drinking again. I think this chapter was both necessary and realistic (and very well written) - after what they went through, going back to normal wasn't going to be easy.

I am worried about Katherine a bit. I just hope that her state won't affect her wedding, but who knows, life throws some unpleasant surprises... The moment between Katherine and Stefan was lovely, I would love to see him giving Katherine away (it must have been a very sweet sight when he stepped to do the same thing almost 10 years before).

I think that Stefan's pain comes not only from the abuse he endured as a child, but also from abandonment. His fear to lose the people dear to him (Elena) is what makes him cling to them, and at the same time start drinking heavily when his anxiety skyrockets. His fear of messing up and losing Elena because of it is what drives him to make things right (his love for her is a reason as well, but I think fear plays a great part in him wanting to be better). I liked what Dr. Erikson told him, namely that he should let Elena make her own decisions, and let her worry about what she wants or deserves out of life, and focus on working on himself. Him wanting to change should be primarily for himself, otherwise he may fail again.

I loved the playful dialogue between Elena, Stefan and Damon at work. Poor Damon sounded like a father who is a little worried his children are not taking school seriously:) Elena and Stefan working together will be interesting, I am curious to see how this, and couple counseling will affect their relationship.

Katherine not getting better is not an oprion for Damon, and I love that - I love his determination, his patience, and his willingness to give a second (and a third, and probably a fourth) chance to the people he loves (he did that with Stefan as well); he is an awesome character in your story.

Katherine - she is never boring! I think no one can ever get bored with Katherine by their side; her bluntness may be annoying, but that makes her more intriguing. In reality she is a warm-hearted woman, who, just like Damon said, raised Stefan even if that wasn't her duty or responsibility. One can clearly see why Damon loves her. And I think she and Stefan have a unique bond and understanding. I hope she will get to live many more years, in spite of her serious heart condition.

It was both hilarious and embarrassing when Katherine caught Elena and Stefan in bed in the morning, and Stefan fell off the bed because of her, lol! I think Katherine is torn between still seeing Stefan as a child, and her astonishment that he is not one anymore:)

Stefan and Elena are adorable:) It is nice to read a chapter that is entirely dedicated to them, where they spend a whole day together. I hope these moments will bring them closer together.

It is funny to see Elena and Stefan "tiptoe" around Damon and Katherine, for fear this situation between them would explode:) And how Elena and Stefan look like the mature ones, waiting and doing everything they can to make sure Damon and Katherine sit down and talk things through.
I would have never guessed the real reason Katherine left, but it seems like a good reason.

The conversation between Katherine and Stefan is so good. Although it isn't long, it shows that they have a special bond and understanding. I hope Elena and Katherine will get along well.

That was a lovely chapter! It is a delight to see Elena and Stefan together again (sort of). Their love scene is beautiful and emotional. Looking forward to seeing more of the relationship between Katherine and Stefan.

Damon is amazing! It was so entertaining to see him dismiss Elena's boss (or whoever that was from her work), and angrily announce him/her that Elena was quitting:) Damon's scene with Katherine was entertaining as well, I loved how Damon was so terrified by Katherine's presence and of his reactions to her. And Katherine, well... she was so Katherine, lol, you took the best parts of her personality and made her shine, I am sure she will be great throughout the story.

It was emotional to see Stefan open up to Elena about his past, and Elena was so sweet in comforting him. I really hope there will be not regrets for any of them the next day.

Nice chapter, and the flashback gives a glimpse into Stefan's traumatizing childhood. Poor little boy! It is no surprise that he doesn't know how to deal with parental figures, since, in his mind, the notion of "parents" is forever linked to abuse (physical and emotional). He has been terribly hurt, and his pain is very much present, hidden in the depths of his soul, The signs have always been present since the beginning of the story, although he has done pretty well in covering it, since dealing with it would have been so painful. At least, this is what I understand has been happening with him.

I love that Giuseppe is letting Stefan know how much he means to him, and that he is treating him as his son. The scene between them was very touching. And I also find beautiful the way Elena is trying to help Stefan connect with his step parents.
