Wouldn't Steves devil fruit be considered somewhat superior to Ovens, Smoothies and possibly Sabo's devil fruits? Or even Big Mom's Homie Prometheus?
Steve can produce hellfire which is hotter than ovens fruit, He can dry up Smooties sponge-like abilities shriveling her up like a rasin and possibly absorb all the heat from Prometheus?

Shanks is a swordsman and here steve is with a whip not to mention that since Luffy has Gol D Rogers hat that means Shanks didn't think Steve was worthy of it since he's a year older than Luffy and got passed over. Honestly, Steve isn't captain material, first mate maybe but I don't think Steve is good enough to sit as an equal to Luffy, his dad didn't think so obviously, probably didn't even teach steve to throw a punch at all. The only time a man should use a whip is when he's indiana jones or he's a lion tamer, any other time and you're just a sexual deviant

What kind of name is Steve? This isn’t the modern world it’s one piece, so use names that is similar to the story you bum
