I desperately, desperately want you to update both of your stories. I was head over heels with both of them and there hasn't been any activity for quite some time, so I've beginning to wonder if you haven't just written them off, completely. However, I do understand that real life tends to get in the way of writing (and reading); it happens to all of us. :P At any rate, I hope to see an update from you, some time in the future. :) Your writing had me enraptured and craving more.

Judging by Alissa's reaction, I suspect that Conner is her brother...?
I was quite intrigued by the the woman that Alissa had collided with. She seemed to give off some sort of strange vibe off of her (Well, to me, she gave off a vibe, though I could be wrong). My suspicion is that she may have something more to do with the Transformers. (Anyone would notice a green robot turning into their phone. Right?... At least, I hope so...)
As for the 'rather cliché entry for Conner', I find it better than the simple 'knock knock, open door, "Hi, I'm your brother that supposedly died in the Chicago crossfire." (That is, assuming my initial assumptions are correct). It spices things up a bit, and I guess, that's what a reader wants (In my opinion).
...And now I find myself rambling. Let's end this before things get out of hand. ;)
All in all, you have certainly caught my interest with this story. There are many questions that you have left unanswered (the basis for a good story; mystery), and I look forward to the next chapter.
