As I thought, once I began this story couldn't stop until I finished it. I like this story too but I think that I prefer the first one, maybe because in my opinion this case is more boring than the pilot.
I have a stupid question: which color is Grace's hair? At first I pictured her blond like in the show, but there are some moments where Danni refers to it as dark hair. Is she blond but with a darker color than her mum? Or is she a brunette? Or another color of course.
Danni is intriguing. She is the oposite of Danny, wich is ironic, really. I mean, for example the scene in the roof when Steve almost lets a suspect fall, their reactions are completely oposite. Danny is like an explosion, he has to talk and move constanty and he gets really angry and has to express it. Danni, however, gets angry but she don't express it the same way, she is like ice, cold, controled and impassive. It made me wonder why she reacts like that, of course all the discrimination for being both a women and a cop may have something to do with it but it seems insufficient for me. I am curious about what would cause her to lose her self-control, if this is posible, and what would be her reaction. Would she break and cry or would she explode like Danny?
I like how you emphasize all the difficulties that Steve has to understand other people, and how he seems to be already attached to Danni even without realizing it. It seems to me that in this point we may have only a onesided interest, from him towards his partner.
I was surprised when you added Jack and Toast to the team, I have only seen until half the second season (I'm on it) but I don't remember seen Toast again in later chapters. What made you decide to have him in the team? Of course that having a computer specialist is useful but if you were thinking to have Jack there wouldn't it be redundant? I mean, I know that there is a worlds of distance between them but he is good with computers and Intel too.
