Another great installment. I liked the battle with Apocalypse and the way the superhero community is slowly expanding. Squirrel Girl is always amusing.

In comics, cartoons and other story mediums, a common problem arises in characters becoming 'god-like' in power as they face and overcome increasingly challenging foes to keep their audiences. With a well and realistically written, far too common tragedy, you've shown your characters are, while talented in incredible ways, still as vulnerable and 'human' as your readers.

/I would have to agree that I find that unlikely, but for slightly different reasons. It doesn't really matter, because in-story, no one else new until the cities rose into the sky. That would preclude spies, but with k-tech, that's pretty believable imo.
