Awwww... poor Elsa having to sit through recounts of embarrassing stories from her childhood to Anna. But it's good - it helps give Anna a better insight into who Elsa is beneath her typical 'mask' she presents to the world.

While it would have been good for Rose to stop, and it's good that dinner's arrival did get them to after the Olaf story, I think that story right there helped to strengthen Elsa and Anna's connection with each other, especially after Elsa's rescue of Anna from Weselton Heights.

I would love to see more of this story, should you ever have the desire to continue. It's such a great foundation to start from.

Does this sound like a bad idea? Yes, and no, all at the same time.

I think Elsa could use the relaxation for a day or two, and her spending more time with Anna is definitely a good plan too. ;)

However, the three of them drinking together and talking with Rose's 'assistance' - not sure. Though Elsa and Anna definitely need to get to know each other better, as they really don't know a lot about each other at this point besides their recent problems in life (and a rudimentary understanding of how they got to that point).

I love how Elsa warms up at the recollection of when Anna had her pinned and they were about to kiss, I just hope she opens up about that to Anna and doesn't leave the poor girl in the dark about it.

The fight for the remote was SO CUTE... then the shift in mood from playful to interested - love it so much. But, of course, Rose's arrival. Should make for an interesting conversation though between the 3 of them after Rose walked in on that after her previous presumption of their relationship status. :)

This was really cute, I love how thoughtful Anna was being here with getting Elsa breakfast, as well as how she toughed out the conversation with Rose despite it's rocky start.

Curious to see how the conversation between Elsa and Rose goes that evening, given the alternative context associated with Anna and Rose's conversation of the morning.

Elsa getting lost in her thoughts staring at Anna when they walked into the building and Kai was talking to her... I love it so much.

If Anna's getting bad vibes and Elsa's extra cold to this James, there's definitely a reason... :(

I laughed so hard at Anna's self-embarrassment when Elsa tried to explain that the couch pulled out into a bed, too cute.

Elsa's anxiety is sad to see, and yet also understandable given the circumstances. Shame she scared Anna so in waking her, but she definitely wasn't easy to wake it seems.

Not bored at all - backstory and build-up is important. You do you. :)

Even after all of that, Anna still has such a huge heart - getting Elsa to not downplay the importance of her own issues, even if the circumstances and level of impact aren't similar.

The ice cream bit was really cute, Anna being so excitable despite her circumstances.

And Elsa being so protective, even after having just known Anna for less than 24 hours. :)

So glad Anna accepted Elsa's offer, that place was shady as hell.

Poor Anna... kicked out of her home by an ungrateful, greedy cousin. No wonder she was looking to just let go for the night. :(

Very curious to see what Elsa has in mind to try to help her, assuming Anna's pride won't get in the way of it.

This opened so sweetly - Elsa being hesitant to push to much towards romantic relations in order to build the friendship first, and Anna being a joking tease. Especially funny that Anna made Elsa inadvertently press several buttons. :)

The misunderstanding in the lobby was at least fairly quickly resolved, which I'm grateful for.

Also interesting how both of their thoughts are going back to Anna's alternate retelling of the previous night's events... ;)

Glad to see that Elsa hadn't made a massive faux pas and Anna was quick to take her up on the offer of being a sounding board for her problems. That could have gone sideways really fast with different personalities involved.

Really cute and sweet... just sad to see Anna get so hard on herself, but given how little she knows of Elsa at this point it's easy for her to mis-read sternness as anger.

I liked the patronizing smirk and glare, it reminds me a lot of when Elsa sends Anna to dance with Weselton at the coronation in F1.

Love the potential double-entendre in Elsa's teasing bout 'bosom buddy'. :)

Besides Anna being repeatedly mortified by her suspected and actual behaviour the previous night, this was so cute and sweet.

Perhaps Elsa could have cut her a little slack by giving her details a touch sooner, but at least she tried to omit the vomiting from her recount of the night.

"but Anna was not the sort of girl that would be interested in someone like her" - You'll never know unless you try, Elsa.

This was really sweet, Elsa taking such good care of Anna despite barely knowing her. Even if Elsa had to suffer through the _incident_ due to Anna's high degree of inebriation.

This is quite cute... It seems fairly obvious that Kristoff's trying to set them up (with the matching "What's wrong with her?" inquiries), in addition to trying to make sure that neither gets into trouble that night with somebody he doesn't trust.

I read this about 5 years ago, before you published chapter 12, and am coming back for a re-read and to catch up. It's definitely piqued my interest again, but I'm curious why Anna's so far gone... it's very worrying. :(
