Was it only a dream, Obi wan? How can you be so sure?
Hahah ! Amazing story! Very amusing and awesome.

This... this was an interesting fic. The merging of two magnificent and epic fandoms like LOTR and SW is not an easy feat amd you did it nicely. Many questions come to mind when this even brought up. Like if a Sith were to meet Sauron what would they think of each other and what would they see in each other? Or a Jedi and a Wizard. How would the Force measure up to Magic and vice versa. A Jedi meeting a real Dragon would be interesting as well.

All in all, you did very well with this. I am also surprised that you didn't have Gandalf and Dooku come face to face and be like "Daaaaang you are a good looking man" :)
T. Alana M chapter 1 . 8/10/2014
CALEBBBB! I'm so sorry! Things have been crazy lately - I'd finished about half of this review ages ago, but...

The opening was eye-catching. The reference to Obi-Wan's dislike of flying was hilarious, and it was a bit ironic that he wanted Anakin there, despite Anakin being a large part of the reason he hates flying in the first place.

I like how Tyrannus is so flustered - as he's already distracted by Obi-Wan's pursuit, the black hole opening up in front of him would just add to that chaotic mindset.

The LOTR scene was great - it had that Tolkien quality, with all the grandiose descriptions and lineage (Did reading The Scruff Factor help?). The titles gave the scene a more authentic, old-timey feel.
And Obi-Wan's entrance - wow. He's just like, hey, I'm a Jedi, I'm sure you've heard of me. He hasn't seemed to notice that he's not even in his timeline anymore - although with the weird planets he's visited, he just thinks he just crashed into another one.
(Although they might be in the same time frame - Star Wars was set "A long time ago, in a galaxy far away", so...)

Hmm.. They probably shouldn't have taken Obi-Wan at his word like that - for all they knew, Obi-Wan could have been the evil one. But it's understandable, seeing as Tyrannus looks way more evil and they probably need one person to explain what's going on. Obi-Wan and Tyrannus are lucky they didn't crash in Thranduil's court. He probably wouldn't have been so lenient. Or, you know, Sauron's place.

(On another note - YAY LEGOLAS! I mean, he hasn't done much, but I love him.)

Huh - a mental wall? Interesting...

The Dark Lord part is pretty ironic - if Vader had crashed instead of Obi-Wan and Darth Tyrannus... The Middle-Earthians would have been, like, DIE SARUMAN JUNIOR!

I love this story - the touch of mystery and the tension. In the end, both parties know very little about the other, and the reader knows more than both, but is still left to speculate a few things. Such as, will anyone be able to reach Middle Earth again, and will they be met with hostile elves who've prepared themselves?

The way it all fell in place in the end, with both characters agreeing that the existence of Middle Earth should be kept secret, was a fitting conclusion. The way it was portrayed was also fitting - I'm envisioning Anakin as that little boy in pajamas who appears at the parents' doorway dragging a teddy bear - it gives off the sense that "everything's back to normal." (I know that this was after Geonosis, so Anakin's an adult by now, but it still conveys that particular image.

I wish it had been longer, but this is great all the same!
Kam I Am chapter 1 . 7/26/2014
Firstly, before I go on about how amazing this fic is, I need to apologize for how long it's taken me to get this review out. As you know, I would have already had one out for you but the FF Gods took my last review and threw it into the depths of the interwebs, never to be seen or heard of again. Secondly, I can't put into words how grateful I am that you took the time to write out and dedicate a story for my me, that's INCREDIBLE, and I'm so happy you did this.

Now onto the actual review! I really liked how this began in space, as you know ship-ship combat is really something I enjoy, and the action here, while minimal, was great to see. This opening section also served as a great way to introduce Obi-Wan and Dooku, both of which I thought you portrayed very well in this story. I know working with cannon characters isn't something you (or I, beyond the obscure and occasional major one, that is) typically delve into, but I think the characterizations here were very effective. Obi-Wan (rather strangely, considering my preference for some other characters you know I like :p) is definitely my favorite Jedi, so I was very eager to see him here! He definitely lived up to his title as "The Negotiator".

Transitioning into the opening with Minas Tirith, it was great to see a bunch of familiar faces. I'm a sucker for happy endings, so to see everyone celebrating and living in peace in the years after the Ring was fun... For all of the five or so paragraphs it lasted :p. And so begins my favorite sequence of this story, the clash between Dooku and various LOTR character.

I'm not sure whether you intended this to be humorous or not, but when Gimli (who book-wise is definitely my favorite character) swings his ax only to have it be sliced in half got a real chuckle out of me. It's the perfect illustration of just how far and away these two worlds are, and which makes it all the more exciting to see them be forced together, which was all I was hoping for when I made the initial request. Another good bit of this happened with the dialogue that Faramir and Obi-Wan shared in the next section, neither one really being able to comprehend the world the other one lives in.

Moving on towards the Council portion, the suggestion Glorfindel makes - about Kenobi and Dooku - being the Valar was a very interesting one. It makes me wonder what would happen if another Sithly being happened about Middle Earth, and decided to try and enslave it for themselves. I also liked Obi-Wan having a bad feeling by the way, it wouldn't be a (half, anyways) Star Wars story if someone didn't have a bad feeling about something.

The bit between Dooku and Kenobi where he brings up the fact that his offer on Geonosis still stands was intriguing, makes me wonder if there's any what-if fics on Kenobi actually agreeing to do so... That being said it would be HIGHLY out of character, and definitely not something Obi-Wan would actually do. The philosophical Force and light/dark side stuff was also intriguing as well, always enjoy reading about that.

Part IV's title definitely rang most true out of all of them, that line that Aragorn's section ends on was very significant, and conveyed a very meaningful message.

Looking back, I'm beginning to realize just how rambly this review has become. Apologies for that, but maybe a lengthy gushy review is what was needed, especially with how long I went about getting one up for you. With that said, thank you again, and here's hoping this review ACTUALLY sends this time!
