Calmzone1 chapter 9 . 9/24
So devastating that not even a year later after losing a son that he passed. My heart goes out to all of you and I hope you are doing well and staying safe during this pandemic.

I have lost friends, friends lost both parents a month apart, and others now think they had it very early on and thus is the reason for the cyclical symptoms. I am mostly back to normal, but still can’t smell everything immediately... unless right under my nose. And even then it takes time for my brain to recognize what I am tasting or smelling.

Raw garlic was the weirdest.

So I hope your family stays as well as can be.

My thanks for posting stories go out to the aether

RIP Msgt Silverdollar. My condolences to the family. I know this is a few years late, but I have only recently discovered his work. I ended up putting him down as a favorite author and am thankful you've kept his stories up so I can enjoy them over and over again.
Best wishes

fumma chapter 9 . 1/9/2019
There are so many things that could be said about what i read upon this story and all the others I have had the pleasure to read that has come from you. But One thing that comes to mind is that this A1C gives thanks to this MSgt who continued giving even after severing this country for so many years of your life. The ability to make one laugh and spread joy is the true magic of this world, so I for one thank you for everything.

My reply to your statement of keeping one eye on the computer and the other on the family member is rather simple. Which is more important to you? To me it'd be the family member. The computer isn't gonna get lonely or die from lack of care. Family should always come first. I'm gonna have to see if anyone adopted this and continued it. It's damn good for not being Bata'd.
Bronze chapter 6 . 8/16/2018
Just for shits and giggles I looked up the distance between Aberdeen, Scotland and Sydney, Australia. Mite bit of long distance there. It'd sure be one hell of a long walk that's for sure! Of course walking you'd have to add quite a few miles to it. That is, unless you can walk on water.
Bronze chapter 5 . 8/15/2018
Well, the way I look at it, Hermione set the pace. Had she said stop, Harry would've. However, the Bond, as you said, was driving both to complete it. Fortunately, unlike some other fics, Hermione didn't need to get pregnant to complete it. There are a number of other where that is the only way to do it. But that rather freaks me out. The idea of a girl as young as almost 13 being pregnant is to me way too young. I'm happy to see Luna joining the group. It's so much better then leaving her out there on her own. She's very intelligent and can bring much to the group. It also doesn't hurt that she's a seer and when she learns more control of her gift can use it to help them with their goals.
Bronze chapter 4 . 8/14/2018
Oh man! That's gonna leave a mark nothing'll ever remove! Molly knows more of Fumbles plans then he may've realized and she's spilling the beans now. I don't care how you dress it up, a pig's still a pig regardless of the dress you put it in!
Bronze chapter 2 . 8/14/2018
Oh man! This so flies in the face of good ol' Fumblewhore's plans! With Hermione betrothed to Harry he can't give her to MoooRon. He'll have a harder time doing what he wants to Harry as well. With three Lordships to his name Harry's gonna be able to do an awful lot of shit to Fumbles though. Damn! The more I read the more I want to read! That's the hallmark of a good story.
Bronze chapter 1 . 8/14/2018
Damn! I'd love to know if someone did adopt this! This is just the first chapter and I can't wait to get on to the next!

missgsmith51 chapter 8 . 11/27/2016
I have really enjoyed this story, and I'm sorry it will not be finished. I can only say that you have given me many enjoyable hours with your wonderful stories. The Fanfic world is a poorer place without you. Please Rest In Peace ... you've earned it.
missgsmith51 chapter 7 . 11/27/2016
So Dumbledore is responsible for the Longbottoms being in the condition they have been in for the last twelve years? He's lucky he is already dead, or I think Augusta (and a few others with those fancy new wands) would have him praying that his next great adventure would hurry up and start already. Now the healers are also finding Aurors, Hogwarts staff, and current and former students with "mind-meddling" charms by Dumbledore, not to mention even more on Molly? I wonder if there are other Ministry workers bearing his "handiwork"? He was a busy little guy.

I wonder where Ron and Percy are and why no one has seen them. Perhaps Oliver drafted them for the Quidditch team, since Gryffindor's was more or less gutted.
missgsmith51 chapter 5 . 11/27/2016
As always, this was a jam-packed chapter. I really loved the courtroom scene where Harry appointed his proxies and gave the Wizengamot a history/lesson. I find myself wondering if the former Headmaster is partly responsible - as both a teacher and Headmaster of Hogwarts, and as the Chief Warlock for many years - for the ignorance of many of Wizengamot members regarding the laws they are supposed to apply.

In the school where I taught for the last 19 years of my career, American kids study and are tested on our Constitution for a large chunk of their eighth grade year. I know this because I was drafted to teach a class in 2008 and my prep was intensive, not having studied it since 1970, my freshman year in college. (I was an English teacher.) Surely Hogwarts students were intended to study and understand the laws of their society. Alas, with Binns teaching nothing but Goblin and Giant wars, generations of Wizard kids probably never learned this vital information. Dumbledore did nothing to rectify the problem when he assumed the headship, because he didn't want people learning things that might cause them to question things he wanted kept quiet. As Chief Wizard, he should have made certain that every member was thoroughly knowledgeable of the law. How else can they properly adjudicate the various cases they hear? So ... I see him as complicit in their ignorance. (Sorry for the rant.)

I was surprised by Dan's hostility to Remus, although I think it actually helped Remus to understand the depth of the Grangers' love for Harry, as well as their outrage that he had been left in an abusive environment for so long without any contact from one of his parents' so-called best friends. Perhaps they also wanted him to realize the extent to which Remus himself had been manipulated by the man he thought of as his mentor and protector; really, Dumbledore was neither, IMO.

Like Bill, the Twins, and Ginny, I'm not sure how I feel about Molly. Her initial rage about Harry's marriage and her despicable comments and threats about Hermione don't seem like things an Imperius would enforce. They seem genuine enough to reflect her real sentiments. I think I would take a wait-and-see position. There had to be something in Molly's character for Dumbledore to choose her for this particular role.

I wonder how Percy is dealing with being passed over for the Head Boy position. Whom will he blame?
