Geez, poor Charles and Erik are both really swimming in angst here. I like that Erik finds a way to visit Charles, even briefly, during this time and that he expresses concern for him, but it's so sad that he regrets it later and Charles doesn't even think it was real.

AWWW! This was lovely! I love Charles and Erik's friendship, that is what I saw this as, sorry I'm not a Cherik fan.

That dream though! :( More like a reoccurring nightmare, poor charles the world just doesn't seem to want to give him a break, poor guy!

What Erik didn't know was that Charles was doing the same in his room in the Xavier mansion.

That last line pulled at my invisible heart strings, knowing that they are continuing to play the game they hold so dear, even when they aren't in the same room with each other, just...damn it hurts!

I loved this! Please write more Charles and Erik friendship stories, your so good at capturing their character's bond and writing details!
