This is *exactly* how I see Sherlock eventually confessing his love for John! With emotional facts, listed off one by one. So Sherlock, but still so heartbreakingly romantic! :)

“Just maybe, in those seconds, everything he’d believed in for the last two years turned out to be a lie. Maybe he realized that he needn’t have ever met Mary, needn’t have prepared to propose. And maybe the horror of the situation he found himself in… caused him to lash out?”

The most perfect description *EVER* of what John most likely felt when he saw Sherlock back from the grave. I mean, SERIOUSLY! This line needs to be put all over the Johnlock tumblr and pinterest and all of the other Johnlock sites! It's an explosion of logic, as though someone *coughMarkGatisscough* planned it that way. Great job! :)

John is so worth it. So very worth it.

Focus: this is my long-overdue review, which I'll write as I read (hence the reiteration of how incredibly *worth it* John is ;D. )

First of all, thank you so very very much for the shout-out; you know I love these to no end, that's not going to change!

Sherlock's speech made me want to bawl my eyes out because feelings, or just clap for joy because, again, feelings... IT was beautifully written and very much how Sherlock would think in this universe where he and John are together. I'm still angry about how they mostly skipped over a real true to heart Sherlock 'I'm so sorry please forgive me' type speech (though Gatiss/Moffat truly outdid themselves with the wedding speech... be still my beating heart! [I'm done fanning out [[for now]]])

"I think I can wait another hour for you." The sincerity I can hear him saying it with in my head... great line, love that.
Also enjoy how John is suddenly not as keen to eat his food ;D

Walking down the street with linked arms... such a cute image in my head! (might actually use that in art and actually complete it, probably :P )

All of these sentiment filled speeches from Sherlock... I love it and it fits well; makes me desperately wish they were said in canon :(

"Shut up and kiss me" YES. LOVE. IT.

In most stories I read John focuses on Sherlock's neck and always asks him about being sure (if the plot allows it). I'm not saying you're unorigional or that I don't like it; quite the opposite! We all know from the Baskerville episode John pays a lot of attention to that certainly attractive neck so it's definitely in character. We also know he, being this perfect little man, is honorable and moral and caring; he *will* ask if Sherlock's sure because Sherlock matters. So, in short, I loved how you included that.

I'm not going to comment on every little thing I enjoyed in that bit of smut because really I enjoyed *all* of it. Truly. Hot and romantic and beautiful all at once; well done :)
I did particularly like how you had John tell Sherlock he was there. So painfully sweet... *deep sigh of joy*

Ending it with Lestrade was a wise choice! You always write him well and I love him and John's relationship. John's little bit with Greg was a joy to read; John is just so perfect I want to hug the sh*** out of him, honestly. Just hug him till my arms hurt.

"In some odd, ridiculous way, they completely and utterly fit together, and the love between them, though not in the least bit nauseating or over-the-top, was very obvious and beautiful." - probably my favorite line in the whole chapter. It sums them up perfectly, and I absolutely love it. THAT should be put on a t-shirt ;P

All in all a perfect ending, a wonderful chapter and a joy to read (as usuallllllllll)!
