I haven't watched the movie, but knowing and having watched the latest Disney films, this might not be far from the truth. That's my wistful thinking.

Anyway, I expected Maleficent was only going to give Aurora a chaste kiss, not a torrid one, with her tongue involved, thus making me think, "Oh, that's the Maleficent Style. Cute."

Yup, that's exactly how the movie ended. I saw the whole thing. It was so romantically unexpected. My poor, dear mother didn't know whether to cry with unrestrained joy or storm out the exit with barely restrained disgust. I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed myself. After all, who on God's green earth would want some dewy-eyed twat waffle when you could have the kiss of a life time with a kick ass, magical, horned fairy godmother with awesome supernatural powers? Seriously, it's common sense. Maleficent just makes every experience better.
