I don't know.. it feels like you missed the point of why the series is so charming. The interactions between Usui and Misaki are dull and uninteresting here; there's just no spark. He's being a super creepy dude, but without the charm that actually made it at least somewhat acceptable in canon. She is just being ridiculously rude and unlikable at every turn. It's true that they were somewhat like this in canon, but they also had positive sides, and their interactions were always left with a show of their compatibility/attraction to one another. There has been zero chemistry between them so far, and it's just not working.

I'd spend some time reading better written stories and look at how they do character interactions, and work on writing in a way that's not just one long stream of consciousness with whatever pops into your head at the time.

You have some serious issues with character interactions, which is basically what this entire story is about. The flow is completely off, and half the time they don't feel anywhere near realistic at all.

I don't want to be harsh to one of the few writing in a very limited fandom like this, but this is really something you should work on.

This was an amazing story, and it’s a shame to see it never become what you imagined it to be. Although, it nice you to post ‘chapter 38’. It good to knowing when you realize the story will never finish instead of having fateful readers cling onto false hope. Nevertheless, good luck to all your future endeavours.

So nice to see this updated. I ended up going back and reading through the chapters as review.
Takumi was really set out on giving up everything just to be wit Misaki. Even from the time at the party, he was already willing, and prepared to give up anything, because he fell head over heals for Misaki.
Disassociation from the Walker's, puts Him into a different situation. One that's he and Mina are not used to of the lower class. Now as long as Takumi retained his medical license, he may still be able to return to working as a doctor again. Though he more than likely needs to take a refresher course, to get up to speed. Especially since he was not actively practicing for some time.
Now he can either look for a position as a doctor that is not under the Walker's influence, or nose, or he could even open his own practice. Back up plan could also be of the offer from Tora in a pinch.(That's probably a last resort.}
To the outside world, Takumi, and Misaki's newfound relationship, may seem to be somewhat rushed. but for the limited window for Takumi and Misaki, circumstances meant that they had to act fast, or face heartbreak and separation all over again.
