Phew! I was little worried you were going to kill Matt off there! At least his illness made Abby realise how she felt about him.

Great story, I hope you write more for this pairing. I'm sure more people are reading it than you think, they're just too shy to admit liking a non canon pairing ;)

Poor Matt, poor Connor and poor Abby! This whole thing got very messy for them, and I think Abby was right to walk away and take some time for herself. I think she wants to be with Matt, but she's also got the fact he only spoke to her in the first place because he wanted to find out what she knew about anomalies in her mind.

Now, the question is whether Connor will fight to try and win Abby back when he returns, or have the secrets and lies broken their relationship beyond repair... and will Matt also fight for Abby?

Well I'm with Abby, Matt was using her to try and get info on the ARC, and I don't blame her for getting angry at him over it. Still, I do think he was genuinely falling for her and she was falling for him. What could have been eh?

I like how you've woven this into the canon of the show and have Matt still needing Abby to help him find out what Connor and Burton are doing. Will be interesting to see what happens next...

Great story so far

I was so pleased to see you'd added a new chapter :) I really didn't expect them to meet again before Matt was at the ARC, but I like how this chapter took their relationship forward a notch. It sounds like Abby has fallen for him despite herself, although maybe its just the grief clouding her judgement? Interesting little touch having Abby think that Matt would fit into the ARC - how different things might have been if she had suggested to Lester that they should take on a researcher.

Good story, I'm enjoying it a lot and I hope you update soon.

Interesting idea, I don't think I've seen this take on things before. Intrigued as to where you're going with this, and how Abby will react when Matt eventually turns up at the ARC.
