Stumbled onto this and gotta say I'm very impressed. You're inevitably going to draw in comps to pieces like Regret and Pedestal with the dark take on the Pokeverse, but I find I like how you're handling your story way more thus far. You've got a pretty mature style that is rarely overly edgy or dark just for the sake of it. There's a great balance to the structure, world building, and characterization, and the quality of writing only improves as you progress.

Really, the only thing preventing this from being my favorite is that it isn't complete (yet), but I also know that good things come to those who wait. I hope things get better for you (obvious pandemic aside). Take your time and keep at it when you have the energy, because you've really built something special here.

I REALLY liked this chapter! I love how they got their asses handed to them when Marcus and Zach initially attempted to take on the poachers and were able to come back as total fighting machines. I have come to realize that Marcus is not a bad dude and he does annoy me less and less. I do like where the story is going with Zach being able to see the portal where Marcus could not. I think it has something to do with the Banette. I think the Banette is realizing Zach is not an easy victim to kill...so instead of trying to kill him he is merging with his soul. Woop! I also don't understand why the Lieutenant didn't want anyone knowing about it. Kisses. 3

Nice touch with the selling of pokemon, I always thought it strange that except for the game corner there wasn't any market for pokemon.

Glad to see you are still kicking man. There are so few truly original Pokemon fanfictions out there that it would be a shame if this would have been left unfinished. Do you have an outline of how the story will end or do you know in general how many chapters there are remaining?

I am sure this has ballooned out quite a bit from what you had originally planned, but I really appreciate the depth you have given your story. I look forward to your next chapter and wish dearly that I were in your neck of the woods so that I could buy you a beer. Stay safe man.

Zach really did need some type of win under his belt with what happened to Lazarus and Chris... I think he has a better mindset because of it. I’m hoping that they get some break on the case, I want justice after all.

This whole chapter hurt me . Like you didn’t pull any punches! I’m hoping that Zach’s mindset gets better, but it’s easy to be so angry especially with those circumstances

Putting Alex & Zach on a team was just lighting gasoline and expecting it not to burn.

Honestly I would be just as angry as Zach because Alex can’t let it go at all! Like Zach literally wants nothing to do with Alex and Alex just won’t let it go!

I was Hoping that they would finally be able to get rid of Zach’s ghost stalker, but I Guess that would be to easy.
