I think Gandallf was just being amused by the dwarves trying to think of a plan without him, but he also figured they would figure it out on their own. If not he would have rescued Dwalin himself.

I just noticed that at the end you had Bilbo talking to some dwarves, and the you had him talking to Gandalf and Thorin. :)

Your a very talented young lady and your writing is very well done, you should continue and keep writing masterpieces like this. I love the ending especially, it was one of the most gentle and well written endings I've ever read, and that saying a lot. Being able to end a piece well like that takes skill, good job :) The beginning was very well detailed too.

This reminded me of the book a lot with its humor and the characterization of the dwarves.

Gandalf you bastard... XD This was highly amusing, thanks for writing it. Poor Dwalin stuck on his root acting all grumpy makes for a very giggly mental image.
