Meh... boring smoring. Even if someone thinks things are boring it's fine. Sometimes action needs to die down before things get good again. What goes up must come down. I personally am not bored with it. Write what you want how you want. If they don't like it they don't have to read it.

My dear, I AM INTERESTED in this! This first chapter was so well written that I cannot wait for Cid to come on the scene. You definitely succeeded in portraying Vincent's emotions: fear, pain, self-hatred, loneliness,etc. Beautifully done.
