Sad but I loved the ending. Seems like Romano's behaviour and treatment of Spain would eventually wear him down and cause him to feel so insecure.

I really liked your story. I've read quite a few fics with Romano self-harming, and that always made sense to me, but I thought your take was just as believable (maybe even more so). It made me so sad to see a depressed Spain, but that's just proof at how well written your story was :) Well done!
