I am a bit confused as to where this is going, but I'm sure it will get cleared up in further chapters. As it is, you've got an effective hook, now we just need what comes next!

The line 'I am in need of assistance' should probably be on a line by itself to help demonstrate that it is not the same person speaking it but otherwise, looking pretty good.
