I know this is like half a decade old but update?

I just realized that ameyuri and shizuka could pass as relatives with their red hair and shark teeth.

I'm assuming zabuza murdered the drunkard next door to shizuka. please update!

I swear I didn't realize that gozu and meizu were the demon brothers. I didn't know who the fuck amayuri or whatever she's called. I really like a vindictuveband manipulative of who doesn't give a shit but I would prefer if she screwed over her friends or something.

I sorta feel like Shizuka will end up killing Gozu... this is amazing! Thumbs up! I love Shizukas personality and that it takes place in Kiri

Dang what a way to end a chapter. I really like how you described Zabuza as feeling empty after the whole bloody murder stopped, and also how he started a bit hesitantly and then got really into it until he was almost in a trance. I feel like for awhile Zabuza is really going to chase that high and really live for a kill, but after awhile its going to leave him unsatisfied because its so fleeting, for him a kill is like a drug and a good fight is just a rush, but not just is it fleeting in a way it's empty of meaning, which could end up contributing with to Zabuza's desire to kill the Mizukage in the end. A little bit because killing someone so strong is sure to be a good fight and such a rush for him, but also because the Mizukage orders such wasteful killing. With Zabuza's cynical perspective of everyone as a tool I'd think it would bother him to see good tools used badly and wasted.

The whole emptiness and knowing that Zabuza himself is a tool mishandled by the mizukage is also probably part of why he sought out something he saw in Haku.

The other thing I got from canon Zabuza at least is that he seems to avoid unnecessary killing of Innocent/uninvolved people. Not that he isn't bloodthirsty when he gets down to it, it's just he spent so much time trying to warn off team 7 and made a point of announcing his presence. If Zabuza opened with his mist he could have easily picked off the genin with out the whole speech about handing over Tazuna and how they have no idea what they're walking into so they should leave because they aren't ready, he probably could have gotten some of them easily if he focused on hitting them while they were in the Manji formation instead of scattering them away from Tazuna. He also left Tazuna's family unhurt while Tazuna was away, so perhaps it was something he grew into or was Haku's influence, but he seems to want to leave innocents be even before Haku steps in.

That's enough rambling about Zabuza I suppose, i just get really hyped because he's a fave of mine.

I kind of enjoy how crazy Shizuka is going while still being someone I can root for as a reader. Utataka really puts it into perspective about how she was so close to jumping across the table and murdering him, but then calmed down in a split second. Poor Utataka, stuck with a bunch of crazies, no wonder he leaves the village.

I kind of love how Shizuka tried to convince herself that she only wanted Ameyuri around for training, but has ended up calling her a friend, just like with Gozu. I feel like that is going to be a pattern with her, aiming to just take from people then ending up actually caring if they are halfway decent/care for her back. I wonder if Shizuha will realize that likely part of why she was improving better after befriending Ameyuri is that she now has someone to help her and catch mistakes so she can improve better.

(I really want to see her interact with Zabuza. I feel like in a weird way they may end up getting along after initial hostilitirs and regular fights where they try their best to bite each other's throats out. Zabuza can't stand pity or people looking down on him and Shizuka wants everyone who ever thought she was unworthy to suffer her wrath, they would be a scary team up.) (secretly I'm hoping they become shippable)

I'm kinda hoping their team encounters the Mangetsu/Meizu team and with Utataka's help Shizuka takes down that smug brat. Maybe she'll snap and boil him when he tries to use his hydrification technique.

A thought on the sealing, i'd be totally okay if she became a seal master, as long as she studies like hell for ages, maybe makes a trip to Ushiogakure if she ever realizes she;s an Uzumaki and doesn't whip out any crazy seals like the thunder god for a long long time. (Imagine if she got a hold of a couple thunder god kunai to examine, i wonder what she could cook up.) With her focus on exploding seals I kinda feel like Shizume would go great with the Shibuki sword, which conveniently has no wielder after Jinpachi :D

And I have too guesses as too who was killed, either Shizuha's suspiciously quiet neighbor, who i think was mostly the one killed in hi own house, or it was the shopowner Shisuha swore vengeance against and Meizu suggested it to steal that from her, just to be obnoxious.

Well, it's really late wher i am and I've rambled on quite a bit, so I hope it all makes sense, I just got really into this fic.

I hope you come back to this even though I know it's been awhile, it's such a great read and you write an interesting take on Kirigakure and what it does to people!

I truely nearly forgot about this story. I don't know why I missed like 2 chapters. I read chapter 6 and t-that last line suddenly made me want to ship them... but that's so wrong... is it?

This chapter gave me the chills. Shizuka needs to quickly do something about Zabuza before he comes after her.

Holy crap, as I read this chapter I was looking around and trying to see which generation she was in by spying a canon character and as I read the last sentence I just went, holy crap the fucking wave mission! It could be a coincidence, but hey! This is about an OC who is or will be in Kiri and the demon brothers happen to be a thing sooo...

Gozu aside, you win 10 points for deciding to have a look at a village that isn't Konoha with your oc for at least part of the story. I love konoha, but still! This'll be interesting! I feel kinda bad for laughing at how evil she is to poor Nanami! XP I'm looking forward to Chapter 2.

Love what you have so far! Sachiko is such a cute name btw haha I think her outbursts and thoughts kf grandeur are actually really cute and endearing! I'm glad she's not all ice and is actually quite soft when it comes to Gozu (especially when he asks nicely lmao I noticed she basically listens to him most of the time when he wants her to stop antagonizing the others).
As for pairings IkindofreallywantMangetsutobewithher...
Mangetsu seems like such an asshole but you know what they say about boys who pull on girls' hair lol That or he is just a mean kid.
