lmc9389 chapter 7 . 6/20 This was pretty good |
Sprengkamp chapter 7 . 4/20 Th for the chapter. I would think that Parkinson is acting a bit to much as a adults irrelevant that she has a Educate education she is 12 and as such I would wait to the 3 or 4 year for political interschool interactions. |
MysticRising chapter 1 . 3/8 Fuck no slash. I think having a platonic parental relationship is for the best and makes for a beautiful moral. Somewhat like the live action film maleficent. Medea wants love and thinks it has to be romantic, but she slowly loves harry as a mother would and learns happiness through that and learns what love truly is (and how it has many forms. I think medea fixates on romantic love as the only way to achieve happiness and think it would be good for her to realise this folly). I think this both satisfies the question of their relationship and more importantly gives medea closure on her life (even if she also killed her own sons to spite her cheating husband). Also huge kudos. See, the HP world is full of powerful magics, but it's not omnipotent. It irritates me seeing HP fics where Harry is OP and basically makes the lore in other series seem like weak shit. Turns me off to the fandom honestly. I don't mind him being powerful, but as you said it's something he would grow into and as a result of certain events (like tutelage from medea). So I really like how you balance medea's capabilities with the wizarding world. But i think the biggest edge she has is a greater orientation to combat. The mindset itself is a powerful thing. |
Ranmaleopard chapter 7 . 1/27 This is just really interesting and I can't wait to see what happens next. I eagerly await your next enjoyable chapter. Please continue |
TheForgottenSpartan chapter 7 . 12/30/2019 People will tell you anything to make the pain stop, even if it isn't true. Withholding pleasure sounds like much more interesting idea. |
James Birdsong chapter 7 . 5/21/2019 Wonderful story |
The Shadows Mistress chapter 4 . 5/20/2019 really like the story i know its old but would love to see more of it |
The Shadows Mistress chapter 1 . 5/20/2019 HP/Medea works they both need hugs |
Black Doberman chapter 7 . 1/31/2019 that was really well done. u made it so medea didnt seem to caring at first but gradually over time she slowly began to feel something more that just a pet/apprentice. the way ur doing it by slowly and giving minute hints, like the apology in the last chapter is the best example. the best thing was that that transition of her emotions seemed pretty smooth. im curious if u will come back to this story, if you do then i cant wait for a chapter. if not, then i hope u let someone adopt it. someone that u trust at least. |
Lord Gamma chapter 7 . 11/24/2018 Good work with this, a shame you haven't updated in years. |
I'm.Only.Here.To.ReadReview chapter 7 . 9/11/2018 I don't know if this is of any worth to you anymore but in my simply put opinion, no matter how much of a sociopath it makes me appear, a system of punishment and reward would be the most viable as you could withhold pleasure when interrogating giving them incentive to give information, then punishing them when they don't obey. But if you had to use just one, withholding pleasure would be the one I would go with, not only because it's less violent, usually, but it works because if you flood their systems with various 'positive' chemicals, foreign or natural, they would eventually become hooked on those 'positive' responses, and causing them to enter a withdrawal would force them to do a lot to get that response back. Just look at examples of frequent drug addicts and how they use all their resources and the resources of those around them to get the rush of chemicals again. The same with the nicotine in cigarettes and those who smoke them. Of course, the effects can be minimalised and in some rare cases neutralised with rehabilitation, if they get it, but they can always relapse when given the same or similar chemical responses. That's not to say that using the threat of pain is a bad idea, it can work on those who are weaker willed or less loyal but there is always a chance that whoever you are dealing with has a high pain tolerance or the ability to distract themselves from pain, leaving threats mostly useless. Along with that, if there is a follow through with the threat, it has to be done in a careful way, hard hits to the head can disorient and potentially cause memory loss, prolonged exposure to pain can lead to tolerance and enough pain in a short amount of time could overload the brain and cause it to shut down either into unconsciousness or permanently, as well as a large number of other drawbacks, though the same can be said for withholding pleasure as a number of negative mental effects can occur because of flooding them with 'positive' chemicals. Of course, I'm not a psychiatrist, psychologist, doctor, professional interrogator or torturer, and most of this is just based on conclusions that I have come to myself and may or may not hold any actual basis in real life. There is probably much more that I could cover on this topic but won't because this is already long enough as it is, I am feeling more and more paranoid, and I’m getting mighty uncomfortable physically as I type this. If you would like to discuss more about this, feel free to Pm me. As a bit of a side note, I would very much like to see you return to this story if possible. I thoroughly enjoy reading it as it is entertaining and original. |
darkthanatos chapter 7 . 7/26/2018 Pleasure |
Old Herobrine chapter 1 . 5/16/2018 The chapter entrance hook was great. But for some reason, I started to lose interest in the dialogue between harry and medea right out of the gate. Maybe it is because it was dialogue and not enough showing? Harry's reacion seemed bland. Too bland for just getting up from an alleyway beating and seeing a rescue from some kind of magic. Also, ten years old, remember what harry was at ten from canon books. This seems a bit jarring. |
Fitoor chapter 1 . 3/26/2018 "Even a one bedroom apartment was superior to lodging in her era." You do know that Medea's a princess right? |
EternalKnight219 chapter 6 . 3/13/2018 Actually, in the older and/or more general versions of her legend, she does not kill her children, but they were murdered by angry Corinthians. Her killing her children came from an old Greek playwright and may just be an embellishment or even hyperbole to enhance the story. |
