What a cliffhanger. This fic is awesome! I"m intrigued by the possibility of Rumple possibly being involved in inciting this whole sequence of events.. especially given Emma's bouts of forgetfulness or her fugues.. I find it really interesting that RUmple could be the cause of all of this. An easy solution thus giving Emma a legit excuse. It would still make the situation virtually untenable because even if Regina forgives Emma, she'd still have those horrifying memories, but at least she'd know that Emma legitimately wasn't of sound mind at the time. But then, what could be done about Rumple? I'm so into this fic. There's been so much angst. And given how sucky the series became, I've just fallen into reading more and more fanfics, even ones i've read several times before. I"m really sad that you haven't continued this yet. Do you still have plans to finish this?

What Regina said is what lana said when asked about the scene with henry at Regina doorstep in season 4

Just read through the entire story and lord, this is heart wrenching and just a painful read. These acts from EF characters before they became fully immersed in our world is one thing, but Emma's not really from there and knows how evil this act of hers is. I don't know how they'd ever recover from this. I'm unhappy with the direction Archie is taking in his sessions with Emma where he almost seeks to absolve her if a certain amount of guilt by implying Regina deserved this, Regina deserves many things but not this. How Archie thinks he can treat both as patients is beyond me. I don't envy you in resolving any of this but if you continue to remain as sensitive then I'll continue to trust you and follow along. One thing is certain, the town needs another therapist or at least Regina needs to see someone other than our HIPPA violating Dr. Hopper.

Will you be finishing the story?

I was re-reading this when I noticed something. In chapter 2, before Regina tells Emma one of the consequences of her actions, you mention that Regina's resting against a tree as the green magic kinda fizzes away. I assumed that to mean that they were by the well and Snow and Emma had just crawled through the well, also explaining why Henry had been with Charming.

But then I'm chapter 11, when Regina confronts Rumple, he lets her know that he already has Belle and that the hatter helped. But isn't that something that would've happened somewhere between chapters 1 and 2 with Rumple branding Regina with the Talisman to summon the wraith, and when Emma and Snow save her, they get pulled into the hat along with the wraith and are transported to the EF?

I realize this story is a huge departure from cannon, but I assumed that you were kinda giving us context by way of experiences they would've had together, and how people would've felt towards Regina. Have I switched things up? Or are you deliberately reorienting their shared history (beyond the obvious, at least)?

Thanks for the update. RL always gets in the way, and the show as it stands now has become even more bizarre and somehow diluted. Nonetheless, I look forward to your updates whenever you can pop some out. I'd love to find out who the snitch is, and also see how Regina and Emma are able to repair themselves.
