Sorry to break it to you folks but It's impossible that diaval is in love with aurora. Because if you recall, when maleficent and diaval is about to enter king stefan's castle to rescue sleeping beauty, diaval actually tries to stop maleficent because he's worried that they might not come out alive. If he is truly in love with aurora he would think of nothing else but to get to the princess even if it kills him. It just clearly shows that he is more concern in maleficent's safety than to see aurora. And when maleficent insisted to continue, cause she loves aurora so much like her very own daughter, she told diaval that its fine if he don't come along. Maleficent actually freed diaval at that very moment! But diaval still choose to follow maleficent for he could not leave her, as he tells to himself that she needs him. So obviously Maleficent is diaval's true love. Besides falling in love with someone you just raised is really odd.
