Just found this story and must say, I'll be looking forward to the next chapters. I love the idea of Harry still having at least one of his parents! Sirius and James as a future couple will be quite interesting too. You know, Sirius, James, and Remus all having a hand in raising Harry, that boy's going to be trouble when he grows up, lol!

I think your right. In this instant, Dumbledore only cares about Harry's physical safety, not his emotional wellbeing or anything else. Just because the Dursleys won't kill him, doesn't mean they should have Harry. It's a miracle that Harry didn't end up being the next Voldemort with a family like that.
