I'm re-reading this story for the umpteenth time and I can't recall if I ever left a review. If not, shame on me! You've crafted a great story. Kirk and Uhura have such tremendous potential as a couple. Thanks for telling one possible version of how their love story could come to be. It's a pleasure to read this! :)

Love it! It's funny how we share a lot of head canons for Jim and Nyota. Nyota being a major reason why Jim joined Starfleet is definitely a head canon of mine.

It's so funny how Spock left in this story because something similar almost happened (again) in canon in Star Trek Beyond. Spock broke up with Nyota there because he wanted to do his Vulcan duty thing. So your plot point of having Spock leave was actually pretty accurate.

I sure hope you continue to write this story, but if you don't, at least you ended this in a good spot. Thanks for writing!

Oh the angst! These two are rather interesting as you've departed from canon for their characters, making Kirk obsessing and Uhura someone who doesn't trust herself. I think they need a whole lot of real obstacles, given Spock really isn't one in this story.
A couple of minor points - 'dissent' means to disagree. In chapter 3 I think you mean 'descend'. And given both Uhura and Kirk were playing with their food as they talked, the plates Kirk took to the refresher were far more likely to be almost full rather than almost empty.

Will you continue this story? It's really good and I need my K/U fix.

Oh, my I love this story! Although I have read several stories like this one before , I really enjoy your spin on this time period of the crews life . I can't wait to see where this plot will go! Please tell me there will be babies in this story perhaps a Spock and T someone baby and a pretty cafe au lait skin blue eyed baby! In the other stories there was a Spock, Nyota baby ;however it doesn't seem like you are going down that road. Unless Nyota goes on this planet gets hurt and then we learns she pg but who's the daddy and how will Kirk react and the crew to the bun in the oven news ? Well I will be eagerly awaiting the next installment .

This is really good and I really liked this chapter.

It seems like they were heading in a coupling direction, anyway. That type of chemistry can be hard to ignore in close quarters. This Spock situation is giving them the out they were looking for to continue.
