Martarafa chapter 5 . 4/7/2018 I think this has become one of my favorites, I've read it three times already. Although we have never seen them in such intimate and personal conversations I have the feeling that they never leave the character, you are an artist writing Jane and Lisbon. Thank you very much for all these stories that you give us. I never get tired of reading them. |
Guest chapter 5 . 11/30/2017 Waiting for new fanfic stories and had to reread one of my fav stories. Great job! |
Tativi chapter 5 . 8/7/2017 I want to know how their lives go on in Austin, living together... The show was very frugal in kisses and scenes where they're just alone. :-) Beautiful story. |
Tativi chapter 4 . 8/6/2017 This is the kind of openness the TV show lacked (understandably, as the writers couldn't devote much time to Jane's and Lisbon's intimate moments). I missed more talks between them. The topic of their past relationships/sex mates is not an easy one. Even I myself have felt deeply that it was really challenging and hard to a certain extent for them both to spill the beans about their past partners, especially for Teresa, probably due to her Catholic upbringing and to her inherent shyness and reserve, but due too to jealousy. I sense Teresa felt really hurt, diminished and insecure about her own attractiveness thinking that Erica was such a sexy woman (Teresa probably in comparison felt ordinary and much less appealing than the other woman) and besides, she surely went crazy thinking that Jane had a crush on a conwoman and a murderer with a very devious mind. It was evident that Jane felt drawn to that type of women, and Teresa is the far opposite to devious. So at the time she must have felt as small feat compared to Erica, at least in his eyes. Lisbon wouldn't ever had admitted that, her pride and stubborness would never had let her show that, but she must have felt kind of small, of a woman incapable of attracting the man she loved. As for Kristina, I admit she was very annoying to me with all that mystical stuff, I understand she could pose a challenge to Jane, but she'd have bored him to death in due course. But of course, Lisbon surely felt a little diminished, in the sense that he didn't bother to conceal his crush. And regarding Lorelei... She was the true stab in the heart for Lisbon. Teresa truly had a forgiving nature, as it was difficult to understand how Jane could go so far for a cold murderer who was a serial killer's lover and who had been delighted to tell Jane that he had to kill Lisbon as if she was speaking about the weather, and he still didn't feel repulsed toward her, and even in a sense he trusted more Lorelei than Lisbon and betrayed a long-term partnership and tested so far the emotional resistance of the only person who truly and unconditionally cared for him. Lisbon should have felt like shit, like she once more was sort of undesirable for him and not much more than a simple tool on his race to catch Red John. He hurt her beyond measure, and he was very lucky she was mature, loving and stubborn enough to overcome all that crap. So, as I see it, it's not just a question of jealousy. It's a question of how low and small Lisbon must have felt. Her light affair with Mashburn (the only one she had since meeting Jane, about wich she was discreet enough) wasn't close by far to make Jane suffer as much as Lisbon suffered because of Erica and specially Lorelei (Mystical Kristina doesn't count so much, I'm sure), as he didn't precisely hide his sort of infatuations, sexual inclinations toward them or whatever. Jane was very lucky that Lisbon didn't tell him to go to hell after all that Lorelei's mess. But I suppose she was too concerned and sorry for him, and too much in love to be able to break up their partnership. That was one of the most difficult times they faced together, and luckily they walked past it. Well, sorry for the excruciatingly long review, but I felt I had to reflect on all these feelings. :-) |
