Wow. I've never read an au like this one. I've never thought of this " what if " situation. It's definitely teaming with potential to be great.
It's as if, based off what I read, your story'll be sad and maybe dark but still feel good, uplifting, and maybe even light hearted.
I must say, you have me wanting more, to find out more, to peel away the layers if your story. Not to mention the intrigue of your characters.

I really loved the paragraph about public shunning/society's eyes and I loved your description of the dark haired man who I kind of assumed to be Kyoya. I also loved the quotes at the beginning and end.
