guest for now chapter 5 . 7/6/2014 hey there! great fic! i admittedly haven't read much on supernatural yet - just finished the 9th season - but yours was the only fic to actually seem like supernatural's fanfic at all. i do not mean to judge but sparing two fics, all i've read till now have completely off characters! God bless the whiny Deans and pouting Cases and versatile Sams! so well, just wanted to congratulate you on keeping the fandom alive in your fic. oh and formulating the second realistic plot i've come across too! kinda needed this fic. :) and well, great sex! ;) i do have an account here by the way, but i can't remember my password owing to my long absence from fanfiction. i'll get it touch soon as i can and follow you. username's 'scaredsapphire' i guess. either way, i'll let you know soon as i find a way to stalk you! :P many thanks for the fic! :) |
TamKent chapter 5 . 7/2/2014 There are no words for how perfect this is. I was rolling and giggling and tingling all the way through. This is exactly how I would have written it. With your permission I'd like to adapt this into a piece of my own titled "The Inevitable Truth". It's my take on Supernatural if Cas, and only Cas, had been a girl. By the point that Dean is a demon, he and 'Cassie' are already married and the little angel is pregnant. With twins no less. If you'd like to read the first draft it's on my tumblr account. My URL is the same as my username on here. |
Blue-eyes-green chapter 5 . 7/1/2014 Good Omens! This was super cute, awesome, and generally perfect! (Note the use of the Oxford comma, does anyone actually not support that?) I have one complaint, but nothing to do with you my dear. This whole fic just shows how much the boys on the show are one handshake and half a step in other direction from happiness, yet the stupid writers on the show are always reusing the same stale plots and arguments! It's been nearly a decade, can't Sam get a haircut and a new perspective? Okay, I'm ending my rant. Thank you for this lovely fic, my dear. Miss you! |
My Peanut Gallery chapter 5 . 6/30/2014 ...I guess I'm a little underwhelmed. Not with the plot or anything like that (the plot itself was a very different, very unique portrayal of Demon!Dean. An all around interesting read. Props for originality for sure), but with the way you decided to rekindle Sam and Dean's relationship. I guess maybe an apology on both sides would have been nice. Because Sam has to apologize for his words, while Dean actions get excused. (Although, I recognize that Dean says that that is NOT an excuse, however Sam's next statements say differently and do, in fact, excuse Dean's behavior/actions). Sam saying they 'aren't brothers' isn't nearly as cut and dry as that. He says: "If you want to be brothers...those are my terms.". It's not like Sam just cut off all ties and merely tolerated Dean's presence. He left Dean an open invitation to change his ways and respect Sam as a person. Also, what I find interesting is that saying this is unforgivable. Because, while Sam was more blatant about it, if I recall correctly didn't Dean say something similar in S5? He said something like "we can't be what we were, you know?". It sounds an awful like 'we can't be brothers' because what were they "before" if not brothers? Dean's was far more discreet, whereas Sam's was more forward. I dunno, I'd say Sam is doing much, much better at admitting when he's made a mistake or done wrong. Off the top of my head, "Southern Comfort" where he said ["what do you want me to say? That I've made mistakes? I've made mistakes, Dean!"]. "Point of No Return" [Dean: "All you've ever done is run away." Sam: "And I was wrong. Every single time I did it."]. "Sacrifice" of course, he mentions how much he's wronged Dean with his mistakes. I'm curious as to where people keep getting this whole "Dean forgave Sam for everything"-thing that's been going around. Dean most certainly did not forgive Sam. At all. And Sam KNOWS this, which is one of the (many, many) reasons we ended up with Sam's speech in "Sacrifice". Dean is still shown to be resentful to Sam's mistakes all the way up to "Sacrifice" when Dean offers to list off some of Sam's sins (being soulless, killing Lilith, dealing with Ruby, freeing Lucifer, and not looking for Dean while he was in Purgatory). Sure doesn't sound like forgiveness to me. Sounds like he's still a little bitter. And yeah, actually Dean did still trick Sam. Because that's the only way he could get Sam to be possessed -again. Sam agreed to let Dean HELP him, first of all (because Sam's not some damsel in distress, he doesn't need saving), he did not, however, agree to be possessed. Hence the "tricking" part. Sam was tricked because he was not properly informed about how he would be saved. Sam...didn't actually react that badly. He started by saying "something's broken here" and Dean tried to say they should just "get passed" it all. Sam says "No, Dean. I can't trust you." Dean says "but we're family" (therefore Sam HAS to forgive him and keep trusting him). Sam gets fed up, tells Dean that only because they're family doesn't mean Dean can do whatever the hell he wants. Dean pushed him into that conversation, Sam WAS handling it pretty well until Dean wouldn't stop. Same thing happened in "the Purge". Sam acted pretty well. All things considered, he could have belittled Dean around every corner or put him on "double-secret probation", but he didn't. I guess what I'm seeing is that Sam was in the wrong the whole time and Dean gets a free pass. Which is completely unfair (not to mention a subtle slant on the character). I get why Sam initiated the apology. He just watched Dean die, right? Death makes people realize how little time they truly have, right? And since Sam was still dealing with that particular trauma, I can understand him absolving Dean's actions and making him free of blame. Dean, on the other hand, should have been mentally stable enough to realize that an apology was in order from him, too. Not just Sam. (Although, I also recognize that Dean says he is unfair in his treatment, however having Sam refuse to acknowledge it and instead say that Dean didn't ACTUALLY trick him, still absolves Dean of blame.) I was just underwhelmed. I'd hoped for something more. Although, the one thing I can thank you for, without a doubt, is Sam's reaction to Dean/Cas relationship. It gets really old seeing so many fics where Sam just goes "Finally!" and laughs and walks away. So, thank you so, so much for doing something different. I really enjoyed that particular part. Different, but still very loving. |
Lady-Knight-Sam-Carter chapter 5 . 6/30/2014 Beautiful fic. Well done. |
