As for critique, try adding a little more 'show not tell' to spice up descriptions and tone of the story-for instance, rather than saying, "Ellie was horrified...cried out as it bit her forearm..." you can illustrate more of her emotions, thoughts, and such, to back up and show her feeling of 'horror. You can describe the bite, the pain, and the sensation, to make the story more immersive to read and write. |
