This is a beautiful one-shot. Not too romantic or dramatics either. Its really touching... I felt like CC and Lelouch are soulmates; beings doomed for their choices.

Hope you write more stories like this. I rewatched Code Geass and it never fails to amaze me especially the ending.

Beautiful. All the lines and sentences were perfectly expressed. They stayed totally in character. I like how you emphasize that their dance is far from ideal or romantic. It's just like them. And I totally love those last lines Lelouch whispers into her ear.
And I also loved their chess game. It just showed how perfectly well they know each other. Him telling her that she was the one person he couldn't leave behind was great as well. Because it is so true.

Lelouch and C.C. are quite IC, and as I read your story, the sadness which I experienced while watching the ending of Code Geass was slowly crawling back, and it's been a while since I've had that kind of feeling.
