This was delightful! I was laughing out loud, especially when it came to "sifting the flour." Good ole Alfred, he probably *had* sifted it already... ;) I only wished the story hadn't ended! But considering the state of the kitchen, perhaps it's for the best. ;) Just tell us if the pound cake was edible!
