Guest chapter 3 . 11/9/2017 [accidentally posted before I had finished] But with Malcom being in the league again, he could probably go back to being hand to the demon. He doesn’t have the same connections as he did when he was ceo of Merlyn global group but if he remained loyal to ra’s he could play the long game and try to be heir to the demon. Just my thoughts. I’m enjoying this story so far. |
Guest chapter 3 . 11/9/2017 Interesting. I really like how you changed Malcolm’s backstory/his relation to Ra’s. Different but I like it. I wonder what his plan is though. Because he really does love and care for Thea and now he’s back in good graces |
JLC chapter 21 . 7/12/2016 Such a wonderful update. I love the twists and turns in your story - looking forward to reading more... |
jkrowlingrox chapter 21 . 7/7/2016 This is such a fantastic fic! I love it! |
changingdestiny40 chapter 21 . 7/6/2016 Good chapter. Both Laurel and Elliot are excellent attorneys and know how to conduct their cases, though Elliot really pulled a fast one on Laurel. That goes to show that an attorney shouldn't use tainted or even slightly tainted evidence to prove her case even if proves the defendant is guilty. Hopefully Laurel will be able to save her father from jail time though that might be hard if the Police Commissioner is indeed corrupt. If that's the case, Malcolm is secretly more entrenched in the Starling City halls of power than I knew. He has plenty of allies within both the city and the League. It's probably going to be difficult to remove him from power in both places. Regarding Thea, I think I told you this before, but I'd really like her to become the new Ra's after Malcolm's defeated. Ra's is dead, Nyssa is dead and apparently not coming back, Malcolm is next in line, but mainly as a stand in, and once he's dealt with, Thea will the only one next in line, her being his daughter and all. Besides, I'm really interested in reading for this fic what Thea would be like as Ra's and most especially Oliver, if he's resurrected , successfully, and Roy's reaction to it. One moment Thea's left with no inclination of her whereabouts, then all of a sudden she's in command of an entire organization of assassins. It would really spin the heads of the two men. Oh, and Oliver himself can't become Ra's since it was Malcolm who killed him, and Malcolm wasn't Ra's when he did so. All Thea wanted was to become strong, but in a surprising turn of events, she becomes the strongest person in the world. Malcolm decided that if things within the League didn't go his way, he'd start a civil war. That caused me to think, and I feel that a League Civil War would be an excellent addition to this fic. I enjoyed watching the civil war on canon between Malcolm and Nyssa and it would be cool to have a civil war within this fic as well, but bigger and wider and encompassing more territory within Nanda Parbat and Starling than the amount covered on canon. It would raise the stakes and provide more action. As for who'd be involved, I'd personally like it to be Thea vs Malcolm with one faction of assassins on Thea's side and the other faction on Malcolm's side. It could even involve Thea gathering followers and allies within the League to bring down the treacherous Malcolm, just like Nyssa gathered her supporters together on canon in her bid to remove Malcolm from power. In addition, I'd love to see Oliver, Roy, and the rest of Team Arrow's jaws drop open at seeing Thea, with al-Aqrab as her second perhaps, commanding and leading her own army. Please consider all of this. Out of curiosity, are you still an Olicity shipper or are you only continuing that pairing within your fic currently because that's how you started it ? Also, what did you think of season 4 of canon as a whole, along with the Arrow/Flash crossover and the finale ? I enjoyed the season and especially the crossover immensely, and the finale was great with the two opposing crowds charging then fighting each other. The only thing I wish for the finale was that Nyssa and Sara were a part of the final fight on the finale and that the warheads had been shown exploding in space surrounded by the stars. Have a great day. |
changingdestiny40 chapter 20 . 5/17/2016 Good chapter, and I didn't expect that ending. I thought for sure Ra's would be the one to kill Oliver, leading him to come back to life and Ra's making him his successor. Nothing like this. I'm not that surprised considering the type of man Malcolm is within this fic. I had also thought Malcolm was going to destroy Starling without the League's approval, but now I see what his whole plan was: murder Nyssa and frame Oliver for it, which in turn forces Oliver to go through the trial by combat, and then use it to kill Ra's, making him the new Ra's A'l Ghul, and Oliver, gaining his vengeance while framing Oliver and Diggle for treachery, and then destroying Star City which completes his Undertaking and revenge against Oliver but on a much larger scale, except because he's now the new Ra's, it's legitimate in the eyes of the League. In the end, Malcolm has achieved almost unlimited power, his own army, the death of Oliver, and the destruction of Star City. This was his whole plan all along. It was both very brilliant and very wicked. Poor Sara and Felicity in regards to Oliver's death. They're going to be heartbroken. Oh, and poor Lyla as well. I don't think Thea and her friend's plan to resurrect Oliver, Diggle, and Ra's will work completely. While Oliver is probably not going to remain dead unless you've decided to go in a different direction by creating a series with a dead Oliver, and Ra's can continuously be resurrected by the pit, I doubt it will work on Diggle. Ra's already tried to resurrect Nyssa, but that didn't work at all. There's something very important about this entire situation and is something Thea's friend should point out to her: since Malcolm is now the new Ra's, Thea is his daughter, and Nyssa is dead, Thea is now the new heir. Therefore, if she takes exposes Malcolm, takes him down, then kills him, she would automatically become the next Ra's A'l Ghul. In fact, this idea sounds like a great one and should be used for your fic. Please consider making Thea the new Ra's at the end after Malcolm is exposed and done away with. Thea as Ra's would in my opinion would make a good story and would help her reach the peak of her goal in becoming strong. Her new friend could even become her second. She seems noble enough and a good person for Thea to have as a second. And with Thea in charge, Team Arrow can call upon the League for assistance anytime, especially considering the threat posed by Damien Darhk and HIVE. You did a good job writing the fight scene and it's intricate moves. Well done. Have a great day. |
Bloodsong 13T chapter 20 . 5/14/2016 i wish we had the old style review pop out window, so i could record my reactions as they happened. uhm... all i recall now is that there was a LOT of shouted cursing. ;D which i probably shouldn't repeat here. great duel; it was better than the one on the show. it made more sense. for a minute, i was hoping for oliver to join the league with malcolm and make him nuts. although i can't be QUITE sure that malcolm wasn't just pretending to be surprised and worried to trick oliver into doing it, if that were his plan. (all those xanatos gambits make me paranoid!) that would have been fun. but, good point. the result is the same either way, just dying in a duel is faster. i may have slightly jumped out of my chair when oliver hit raz and started driving him back. :X i definitely called malcolm a very bad word, at you know what point. i love it, but... ***! there was also an unprintable exclamation when i recalled (i had forgotten in all the excitement) about al qitta. oops. so much oops. you know, one thing i always wanted to see was malcolm making a mistake. not necessarily a fatal mistake, but just something to make him say OH (#*&$ at least once. just... yeah. good job. (oh! i do have to point out something... um, at the end, malcolm grabs oliver by his shirt? but they were dueling without. you can just... adjust that bit, if you care to.) and i have to realize my mistake. in oliver taking diggle with him. MORE CURSING! ARGH! |
Naitch03 chapter 20 . 5/13/2016 Well, I knew it was coming. And I knew that Diggle was going to die. But I didn't expect the frame up, for whatever reason. That was a nice touch. I'm curious to see who and how the pit manages to bring back- I don't expect Ra's, since he was shot in the head. But Dig and Oliver are fair game (and it would be nice to have Dig be able to return to his family). I also can't wait for Oliver and Al-Qitta to interact, and for Oliver to realize just how far Malcolm has gone in his quest for vengeance. I think my biggest question, though, is who's side is Al-Aqrab on? I found it very convenient that she showed up here, and it makes me wonder if perhaps she's a plant that Malcolm sent to keep an eye on his daughter. I can't wait for more. Update again soon! |
Dante 101 chapter 20 . 5/13/2016 You know, Oliver could've avoided the trial of combat with Ra's if he called ARGUS to arrest him. Now the duel between Oliver and Ra's was much more detailed and better than it did on the show..and with unexpected results. Diggle shot Ra's dead. Diggle was shot with arrows and he's dead. Malcolm takes Ra's place as a result. Oliver is most likely dead. Wow...great work. |
Bloodsong 13T chapter 19 . 4/25/2016 well thank goodness diggle didn't let oliver put him off this time! i dont know what qitta thinks she could accomplish, watching from some distant vantage point. or if she could figure out who's lying or not. :/ but i expect a serious monkey wrench in the works there. |
changingdestiny40 chapter 19 . 4/24/2016 And now the duel's about to happen. Things are starting to heat up. In a way, Oliver's correct in that he'll probably not return home. Even if he survives the duel, which I assume he will, that means he'll have to join the League since he'll be Ra's successor. Thea's talk with her fellow assassin might have actually helped her deal with some things in her mind. I hope Oliver somehow sees her and realizes she joined the League. I do want to read his reaction to that matter. Good thing Diggle is going with Oliver. Besides Diggle having Oliver's back, Malcolm had a point in that someone will have to return home and let everyone know how the duel fared. Thank you for sharing with me your thoughts on season 4 when you began the preceding chapter. It could be better like anything else, but I'm really enjoying it and am glad for a new episode this week. Out of curiosity, what did you think of the matter of Laurel's death ? I'm personally glad of it because her death combined with the Olicity breakup gives me hope that Oliver/Sara could happen again, and they're one of the pairings I ship. Have a very good day. |
changingdestiny40 chapter 18 . 4/24/2016 Good chapter, and I think I see where this is going. Oliver is going to survive Ra's sword and be chosen to become his new heir, and based on what happened recently, it makes sense. I don't believe in any of this, especially since there's only ne God, but it appears the ancestors finally answered Ra's prayers. He became impatient waiting for the prophesy to be fulfilled and sired a daughter, violating the League's ways within your fic. Then they punished Ra's by using Malcolm's evil to take Nyssa from him. And then when Ra's finally repented after trying to revive her, not only did the ancestors forgive him, evidenced by the fires blazing strongly, they're now rewarding his repentance and showing him mercy by finally providing him with an heir through the prophesy. Ra's was impatient, he learned a hard lesson, and now he's being rewarded with what he's waited for so long. This will definitely be problematic for Malcolm. He had concocted this brilliant plan to kill Oliver and then presumably destroy the city, but now Oliver will become not just the heir but the true heir which means that his plans for the League will probably crumble. He might even lose some of his followers since they joined him because they felt Ra's was defiling League customs and now Oliver as the heir is a full return to those customs. Thea on her part, out of loyalty to her brother depending on if her memories stay with her along with her commitment to the League, might end up supporting Ra's and Oliver instead of her dad. Malcolm really messed up here. I wonder if Alwin and his companion is working with Malcolm based on the fact that they want Oliver's help in collecting samples from the water, collecting samples from the water being a big part of Malcolm's plan. Sara did a good job escaping her captors and getting the correct antidote despite her physical conditions from being a captive. Thankfully Al Jurod won't be murdering any more people. Diggle really gave Oliver some good words of advise at the party. Good chapter. |
Naitch03 chapter 19 . 4/23/2016 Wait... I've read this chapter already. did you re-post an earlier chapter? |
Politics.and.Prose chapter 18 . 3/23/2016 Honestly I didn't know if I would be able to follow such an intelligent story. Your writing has drawn me in, though. Even the stuff that flues over my head makes me want to know more. You're incredible and I cannot wait to read more. Your storytelling is captivating. Thank you so much for this story. |
alayneni chapter 18 . 3/22/2016 Good chapter. |
