TFSTARFIRE chapter 1 . 5/6 This is a great start to the story, especially using a MUTO as the cause of the Chernobyl disaster. Just as good as the Reasons that were used in Transformers Dark of The Moon film. |
54godamora chapter 6 . 11/29/2019 Less focus on the monsters and more focused on the human reports. |
Megatronus666 chapter 5 . 6/12/2019 He is now in the Legendary Kaijuverse along with Mothra, and Rodan thanks to Godzilla King of the Monsters. |
Zane Akker chapter 5 . 9/10/2017 Oh my god! I finally got in! Thanks! |
RaptorZeroOne chapter 5 . 9/2/2017 New info places Ghidorah ice up in one of the poles at the moment. I would love to see Mothra and Rodan now that we have more information on them. Also, Zilla, just do it for shits and giggles. |
Queen Kaiju chapter 5 . 7/8/2017 Biollante was so cool. I totally want to see her! |
vietnamese guy chapter 5 . 6/24/2017 Nice |
Kaiju Alpha chapter 5 . 6/21/2017 There is a risk of this being completely inaccurate to what we might see in the sequel. |
The Final Avenger chapter 4 . 4/21/2017 Hmmm, will there be a glimpse into the debriefing of Lieutenant Marlow and his experiences on the Island? |
Infinity Spiral chapter 4 . 10/28/2016 Can't wait to decode the next file in Monarch's database. I wonder if they have any information on Rodan, Mothra, or King Ghidorah? |
Mr. Fred Wilson chapter 4 . 8/26/2016 Dear Dr. Ichiro Serizawa. Please excuse this fax message arriving two days late. I am the CEO of the Petrox Oil company. I request to fund your expedition, and provide several vehicles for it. |
Zane Akker chapter 4 . 8/24/2016 To Rassilon001: Nice, but I have a complaint: It's made clear in the premise that Skull Island is in the PACIFIC, not the INDIAN. Just read the damn Wikipedia page: "In the 1970s, a team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific—" Do you not see the Pacific!? |
Zane Akker chapter 4 . 8/9/2016 To Rassilon001 As disrespectful as it might sound, I was thinking about incorporating the disappearance of Flight MH370. Perhaps Rodan could be responsible, or make up a new Kaiju (MUTO). Personally, I have an idea for the MH370-MUTO if you ever decide to go with this idea. The first is this large primitive whale, sort of like a basilosaurus. I'm thinking about naming it Vasuki, after a character in Hindu mythology. Oh, and if you do include this, make sure to credit me in some way, maybe a mention of a Prof. Ahmed, perhaps? |
The Worst Kind of Monster chapter 4 . 8/2/2016 When it comes to fanfiction, there are certain common elements usually found in a given story. But these 'Monarch Reports' are a very usual undertaking, and could have been very much a hit or miss endeavor given their content. After reading through to their conclusion, however, I would be forced to conclude them a hit. Using real world disasters and linking them to the latest Godzilla film is an interesting way of deepening the mythos of Monarch, which I felt was one of the strongest (if not THE strongest) elements of the new film series. Likewise, learning that King Kong would be becoming a part of this, as you put it, Kaiju Cinematic Universe, felt the most recent chapter did well to tie the two closely together. You do wonders to delve into the mythologies of both franchises, cutting away the chaff and the more silly aspects (as well as silly Kaiju) and get to the real meat of their characters. Likewise, your own MUTOs, like Feraline and the Xastropod, seem refreshingly original and enjoyable to read. It would have been a joy seeing such creatures on the big screen. Overall, I say keep up the good work. The pacing can be a bit odd but the length makes up for it, oddly enough. Keeping the chapters short makes the story that much more enjoyable to skim through. And there's easily a lot more material to consider working with in future, if not explicitly nuclear disasters, then natural ones you may wish to consider also being the work of Kaiju. |
