How did she become a veterinarian in 4 years? It's a post-graduate degree that typically takes another 4 years after undergrad.

Great story. Wish it was longer.

Saw this as a rec by Dinia Steel and her Fan fiction Writers of the South FB group. Enjoyed reading it very much. Glad they were able to make it past their adolescent issues and re-connect as mature adults with understanding how they were better and more able now to make a go of a relationship than if they had settled for less when younger.

Pride goeth before the fall, Edward's ultimatum, Bella's refusal.
Now, matured, explanations & apologies given, they are reunited.

I always find it so strange in so many fanfics that B&E are so made for each other but they part for years without ANY contact, NOTHING.
They both grew up along the way, not just four years to the day of their re-meeting.
Why wouldn't they contact each other to see how things were going?
Why wouldn't he go see her at this university which apparently isn't too far away?
You're not the only one to blame, it is such a common basis for stories but it just wouldn't really happen, this zero contact.
Once people with these type of strong feeling had time to think about things, they would naturally get back in contact and feel the water.
It didn't stop Tanya from keeping on trying, why would soul mates not try and reconnect after some time?

I loved this story so much. I would love to see this expanded. These two have some things to straighten out and I'd like to take that journey with them.
