Ahh, Luna-sama~ This was absolutely exquisite, as always! Your style is excellent and refreshing, also as usual.
I've read this before- a few months ago, maybe, and forgot to review- and I decided to try Botan rice candy... I think I'm addicted now xD. (I wish someone would send ME giant boxes of rice candy on Valentine's Day, but alas.) Look at that, a year and a half since you posted this story, and now I'm eating rice candy while reading it for the second time...
Anyway, I wanted to say that I really enjoyed this one-shot (especially the rice candy), and I actually loved the OCs, even the "uncultured" barista girl. They added bright little touches of flavor to the story, and made it just that much more real for me. As an Asian-American living in the States, I was able to appreciate the realistic details, like strangers' blatant racism of grouping all Asian Pacific people as one ethnicity (and not being the least bit sorry for it), and the "culture shock" when returning to a country you haven't been to for a while. Even the friendzone moment with Laura was touching and (very, unfortunately) relatable.
Well, time to wrap up this little essay! All in all, I found this story to be fantastic and cute and perfect, along with a million other praising adjectives, and I thank you for making me happy (and introducing me to "strange rice candy")! What with all the love you get for your 145 other, equally wonderful fics, you probably won't read this anyway, but thanks again! I wish you good luck with your future writing adventures :)

Well now I want some rice candy. Geez! This was fantastic! You did a wonderful job. Nothing like distance to jolt you into awareness. I'm so glad that Kaito called. I have a feeling that Shinichi would have put it off much longer.

Long time no see! I feel like your one-shots are getting better and better. ;) They're branching out to explore more sides of Shinichi and Kaito, and builds up the depth of their relationship. So... just want to say that I'm still reading, haha. Can't wait to see more!

As a New Yorker, I can say that there certainly are some baristas who are that annoying and forward. Your characterization of them was fair, haha.

I liked that Shinichi left. It would have felt a bit cliche for Kaito to stop him at the airport. Instead they kept in touch and became closer with Shinichi's leaving. Loved this! :)
