Acceptable, but there were quite major flaws in this.
1. Rouge could not have lost her memory from Shadow just mentioning something, also the fact that they both were going insane for no reason
2. Omega is bulletproof, therefor his metallic body can support a few tons of rocks, making it no sense to dent/crush him
3. Shadow cannot heal at the rate you put him to
4. Tails has fixed more complex things compared to Omega, therefore Omega had no reason to die
5. You made Rouge WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too negative.
6. Omega or Shadow could've made their own exit.

Other than that, it was an OK story...

BTW you may use my characters however, whenever, & whatever you want them to be for your stories just as long as they stay males, neutral characters, & no jeans. Anyway, I have to admit, I was tearing up while reading this chapter. I can't believe this story is completed... I don't want this story to ever be over, but... You ended it so perfectly... It was breathtaking. There isn't a way it could've ended better, and I mean that in the best way possible.

To me, this story is, without a doubt, the best Sonic the Hedgehog story I've ever read. In fact, I believe that this story is my most favorite fan fiction out of them all, even if there is quite a good few out there...

Actually, there is no doubt. This story is, and always will be, my favorite one, no matter what.

The way you ended "Collapsing" was wonderful. I loved the references you made to the beginning of the story, namely the breakfast scene. At the beginning, Rouge had taught Omega how to make a 'quick and easy' breakfast, and now it is Shadow who is teaching Rouge the same thing. The ability to make sure that each chapter manages to connect with one another, to make references with each other, and so much more is a wonderful gift, and it is one you no doubt have.

The way Shadow treats Rouge shows just how much he's changed after the events that had occurred. The way with how he's so calm around her, willing to help her out, so patient with her suffering memory... It's really nice to read.

I also liked the interaction between Shadow and the commander, and how he 'almost' sounded humble. That was a nice addition.

I have to admit, for some reason, I thought there was still the tiniest bit of hope for Omega, even if he was gone, so the ending had brought me tears when I noticed he was gone for good.

The entire ceremony was heart-rending, and the last line... The last line was perfect. I'm happy that Omega would've been beaming, for after all he's done... He deserves it.

You did an amazing job with this story. :')

Seriously... I could have handled anything you threw at me. I was prepared after that last chapter for a world of hurt this chapter. At least... I had thought I was. But then you went and wrote that awfully heart-breaking cereal scene and... now I hate you, and want to throw things at you...
Okay, not really. XD
But still... That was cruel. And yet completely needed for closure purposes, and to just make this story even more perfect. Everything is woven together and connects wonderfully. It's enjoyable, though painfully so, to read, and I will definitely re-read it... and then want to throw things at you all over again. ;)

Oh my gosh though, you actually killed him. I was hoping right up to the very last minute that it was all some crazy multi-POV nightmare Shadow was having after hitting his head back in the first chapter, and that the whole "crushing our hopes" thing was a red herring. But by gosh, you actually killed him. o.O
It's the road less traveled though, and it's gorgeous. That first scene was unbelievably sweet, Shadow being so gentle and patient; but at the same time it was heartbreaking to see how much shattered since the time Rouge taught Omega the same thing. They've come full circle, but at the same time things will never really be back to normal. And the conversation with the commander, and the funeral . . . dangit, it's a beautiful job, and that's all I can say. Congrats on a lovely story, smileaway!

smileaway96, it has been a pleasure reading your story. It's like I've just read the first chapter yesterday. I'm sad that it's over, but... you did great. I never thought that Omega was going to be gone forever. I thought he was going to reboot, but he didn't make it. I loved all of the emotion in this chapter. I loved Shadow's regards to Omega. It was sweet. Team Dark will be forever friends. Rouge was funny in the beginning. She will figure things out someday. Also, I loved how Shadow helped Rouge with her "preparing meals" problem. One step at a time and like what Shadow said in that scene, "You're well on your way.". I wish you luck! ;)

This is a wonderful ending, and an incredible story, it's definitely my favorite STH story thus far!
