Acciopotterevans chapter 1 . 12/4/2017 This is too perfect. I can't stop sobbing and god. I'm a wreck. This is fucking beautiful. Is it ok if I print this for personal use. It's just god I'm speechless. Absolutely beautiful |
Spazzumtard chapter 1 . 5/8/2016 YES! Thank you! This was a PERFECT representation of James in my mind! There really isn't much to say that other reviewers haven't already said, but I love this so much. Thank you so much for writing this! I may use this as a reference for if or when I ever write James in a future story of my own. I hope you don't mind. :D |
Babymac chapter 1 . 2/29/2016 Thank you for posting this, I quite agree with everything you said. 1) I DO Rock! 2) James isn't perfect, but he deserves a lot of credit. 3) he grew up, which is a huge part of why there is so much hate on James: people never seem to recognize that simple, yet incredibly important piece of information. |
harryislife chapter 1 . 2/27/2016 Thank You! Someone who gets James like I do. People judge James on one incident they saw in his whole life, and label him an arrogant bully. They judge him on what Snape, a Death Eater ( I'm unsure still as to whether or not he was truly on Dumbledores side. He kept his options totally open. He would have been fine whichever side of the war won.) tells us about him, a man who was completely biased against James, and who was jealous of him. People ignore all the good things he did, helped Remus and Sirius in tough situations, included Peter when many other "popular" kids wouldn't, and died protecting his family. We never got to hear his side of the story. People forget that even if James MIGHT have been a bully, Snape was a murderer even if he "repented". And Snape bullied children! No child's greatest fear should be a teacher. No child should be bullied simply because they look like their dead father. No child should have their image of their dead parents ruined out of spitefullness. Dudley tormented Harry all his life and people forgive him. It is totally unfair to judge James when we only get a tiny insight into his character, and he can't explain himself like Snape did in the last book. I'm sorry but I'm quite passionate about this. Aside from of course Harry, James and Sirius are my favourite characters in Harry Potter. Rant Over. |
jonski chapter 1 . 2/23/2016 WOW! I mean wow...Everything i read here is exactly what i thought about James Potter. ALL OF IT! Its almost like im reading what's inside my head about James. THIS WILL BE MY FAVORITE FIC OF ALL TIME! |
Truustory chapter 1 . 1/4/2016 Wow. Just wow. I always felt like Snape's memories should have been excluded from canon, since he was a bastard with his only semi redeeming quality being his unhealthy obsession with Lily (although you could say that James was a bit obsessed too). He died to defend his family, standing up to the douche lord whose name left people flinching a decade later. What's with Queen Jo (bow down to her holy majesty, make her enemies be defeated by her mighty pen) defaming his character for a total bastard like that? WTF! Anyways, that's amazing. |
RedPandaPatronus chapter 1 . 1/24/2015 :) Yeah! Way to go. I like your James. |
SiriuslyPsychic chapter 1 . 8/1/2014 HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAN EVEN THOUGH IT PROBABLY ISNT YOUR BIRTHDAY ANYMORE! This was amazing! |
ilovebooks1111 chapter 1 . 7/25/2014 Wonderful story! I love James too! And I loved your interpretation of him... |
StrawberryofLife chapter 1 . 7/12/2014 That was a really great bio on James. I think it shows that his life wasn't all rainbows and flowers; that he had problems too, but it also shows that James isn't just a big bully. I feel annoyed when people love Lily because they think James was a bully and because of Lily's sacrifice in the end. I feel like people underestimate how amazing James Potter is. JAMES POTTER ALL THE WAY! :) |
TillyTiger chapter 1 . 6/19/2014 Absolutely fantastic. It's our flaws that make us what we are. I am, at heart, a Snape fan rather than a James (I believe you're only allowed membership to one club, even if you like both :/) but that's not to say that I think that James was the evil one. Both boys were just as flawed, and both made decisions that would determine their future, which is why they're so interesting to read about. Polar opposites, I think :) I loved the start regarding the role of James' family in his upbringing, and how that shaped his outlook on life. You've really given me something to consider about James. Happy (late) birthday Dan. Hope you enjoyed this insight as much as I did. Thanks again MSupernatural, Tilly. P.S. You're English is fantastic, if people nitpick on you for that, tell them to shove it. Everybody makes mistakes. I find people don't understand my Australian sayings sometimes, when I put them in accidentally without realising only Aussies will understand :S |
aslansphoenix chapter 1 . 6/19/2014 I totally agree with you and this work is amazing. Love it. |
DogStar13 chapter 1 . 6/1/2014 I like James too! |
PurplePenguin13MI chapter 1 . 5/26/2014 This. Is. Awesome. I completely agree. As an equally die-hard James fan, I love everything you wrote. (Especially the little blurb about Star Wars. I think that should officially be canon.) Continue being awesome. |
