Why did Nekos act so subservient to Danearys. Because she is 'mother of dragons'? I mean, sure. Being respectful and such is given but he was outright kissing the ground she walked with his words.

You may have misunderstood but even knights don't just swear their loyalty just because! They do it for a higher social status, riches etc. They RECEIVE something in RETURN. Your MC? Nothing. It was just a crude plot bullrushing so he can be by her side. It could be done SO MUCH better and with more flair. Even if you wrote it simpler it would look BETTER. At least for me. No, you basically made him servant without receiving anything. He swore loyalty for a chance to teach her something SHE NEEDS.

I am not saying to make a prick out of him. But... your characters bend their knee WAAAAAYYYYY too easily to people they never even interacted with and for THE MOST idiotic reasons possible.
